We took my dad to Franklin several times to pan for rubys and other stones. Franklin has several mines, it’s fun for something different to do. My dad was in his late 80’s and my husband dug the dirt for him to go through, he was so sore, such good memories ❤
Was just in Franklin last week in September…hubby & I trailered the motorcycle to Robbinsville, NC, then every day ride different roads…when in Franklin we ate at a French restaurant & it was attached to a gas station…lol…but it was really beautifully decorated inside, I wish I could remember the name of it…probably could look back at pics…I love the water falls all over up there….we go every year & ride the motorcycle ❤ the year we got married, we honeymooned in those beautiful mountains & went to Bridal Veil Falls for the first time… My favorite road to ride is the Cherahala Skyway, it goes from Robbinsville, N C to Tellico Plains, TN….awesome little town there to explore… Thanks for sharing…I love watching your trips❤
What a beautiful camping area!😍 And there's nothing like a perfect fall day with a crispness in the air and leaves changing colors!😘 It's great to discover the small towns that are so quaint and friendly!😚 The falls were so beautiful too! As was your campsite! Maybe the problem that Brian was having with the other campsites was because they were straight. But what would have been a challenge to everyone else was a piece of cake for him!😋👍 Your camping trips are always amazing!🤩 You see so many wonderful things and places! Fun fact I live about 20 minutes from the campground you stayed at in Franklin. I am so glad to see my local area highlighted and enjoyed by others. I have been living vicariously through you all lately. 2024 is my year to start traveling more.
My MOM Loved this area and 6 months before she passed we went to those falls. She was not feeling up to taking the path down so I went down and videoed it for her. She could see it from above and hear it. We ate peaches and boiled peanuts. We enjoyed our stay in a log cabin with a porch swing that mom could sit on and look out over the mountains. She Loved it. Seeing this reminds me of going there with my sweet beautiful mom.
My daughter and I were in Maggie this weekend spending some Mama and daughter time together and it was beautiful. Actually snowed on the Blue Ridge Parkway……so beautiful with the leaves changing and then the snow! I didn’t want to come home on Wednesday. My late husband and I always went to Franklin loved that little town.
Loved every minute of this video. I laughed so hard when Mr B said but he only weight 10 pounds, so funny. It was so beautiful. The breakfast you made looked so delicious, i wanted one of those sausage links so bad. Lol.

My brother lived in Franklin, didn't see too much at his funeral, did go to a couple of waterfalls it is so beautiful, I think you showed the one we went to. It is absolutely beautiful there.

Ya'll where in the "Perkins Builder Brothers" neighborhood! They're a You Tube channel, based around the Nantahala National Forest Area. I think it's Bryson City.
That’s a type of swinging bridge it’s meant to move like that, we have two of them here where I live but they are much longer and can hold more then 4 people my son used to love running and jumping up and down to make it move.
We go to Franklin occasionally, and we need to check out Highland. We live one town over from Blue Ridge. Go to Meciers for the best fried pies, jams, apple cider donuts, and try Souhern Comfort in downtown Blue Ridge across from the train tracks. Best fried green tomatoes around. We love these mountains.
Love everything about this trip! Franklin is so beautiful! We stayed not far from there, in Nantahala Village one year, and explored several of the falls. I can't wait to go back. Ya'll are heading to my neck of the woods in the Blue Ridge. Foliage is a week or so behind, but beautiful nonetheless. So glad you had a great trip!
I was about to send a search party for you two! We are headed out for our final trip this season to pike fall state park in Tennessee south of Chattanooga! Hopefully it won’t be a repeat of last year in West Virginia, it snowed!!!

Another small town you need to visit is Dahlonega, Georgia. Highlands and Franklin are great little towns. It has been a few years since my husband and I were last there. 🙂

We were just in Boone NC for 3 days for our annual family mountain trip. Our niece is in her second year at App State! We had a great time there. We were excited to learn on our trip here brother got his acceptance to Winthrop while there. GO Mountaineers and Eagles!

Just wondering have the Bunkies ever been to Sevierville, Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg? They have good camping grounds to. East Tennessee is beautiful in fall & especially Christmas time! Dollywood absolutely rocks with beautiful lights & scenery. It's all great fun! Luv y'all! Be safe 🙏
