NVIDIA RTX 3090 GPU - CONFIGURED WITH FREESYNC PREMIUM PRO 4K 144HZ HDR10 • USING HDMI 2.1 • TCL Q7

1) Manually download newest display driver from NVIDIA's website.
2) Using the DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) program (in safe mode), uninstall all traces of previous NVIDIA drivers.
3) Let machine restart, and open run NVIDIA driver .exe as administrator by right-clicking and click "run as administrator"
4) "Clean-install" the NVIDIA driver, and GeForce Experience.
5) Restart machine & run CRU as admin.
6) Free-up some blocks, by removing a few resolutions that don't make sense for your region: example - I got rid of the ones that had 50hz because I think that is for over-seas.
7) NOW you can check all of the other boxes and features in the HDMI 2.1 DSC stuff.
8) Get rid of the Display 1.3 extension blocks
9) Add your resolution(s) manually using Display 2.0 & the numbers from the
Resolution Calculator site:

11) After you save everything & restart graphic drivers using "restart.exe cru utility.
12) Restart machine completely, and on the TV itself you need verify GAME MODE is forced to "ON", and that your HDMI mode is set to the 2.1 mode. THEN, to go to "Settings" -- "System" -- "Restart" (it helps make sure no other apps are running on the TV in the background. These TV's are basically giant cell-phones now in terms of opening apps & operating systems. You could have several apps running in the background without even knowing it. (When TV restarts, I have mine set to automatically go back to HDMI 1 when it starts up.)
13) After everything is flushed out, and TV has been restarted - you shouldn't have any issues until they drop another new NVIDIA driver (LMAO) - rinse, and repeat!
14) Make sure to STOP windows 11 from doing things on it's own! Disallow windows the permisission to update any drivers on it's own, because instruction-sets that are written on top of each other will just confuse the system!

Do I need to use a DisplayPort adapter to get these issues to go away or can I just use the HDMI cable that you mention in your other video and use these settings?
