Wow sir you are a genius. I have been looking around for some awesome softwares for my new PC and I have found SO MANY amazing new tools and tips from your video it's unbelievable. I have even been using Evernote forever and ever to take notes but I didn't know that you one was able to use the Evernote Clipper thing so usefully. I just thought it was a shortcut to the main Evernote software. Thank you SO much for this and please let me know if you have made any updated videos for the same.
You've got a new super fan Steve! I am 'discovering' the techy world after having to buy a new Smartphone because I lost my minimal samsung Ace two with limited capabilities.... so the research of the optimal smartphone for me just amazed me and here I am with eyes and ears wide open! congrats on your work. It's great... The other toy I got - LG G2 was the smartphone selection- was an iMac.... I didn't quite get the multiple desktops feature.. Would like to try... how to do that? congrats again, and thank you.
Hey ***** glad you found us! here is a video that shows right of the top how to use Apple's multiple desktops. 7 Secrets to Supercharge Your Productivity I hope that helps!
Yes absolutely! I was even thinking of putting together a TH-camr meetup of some sort surrounding it.. I'll let you know as it would be amazing to have you there!
Steve - I agree about focus. I would like to suggest work modes rather than eliminating screens. I am a bookkeeper and tax accountant. When I am doing data entry I use two screens and close all unused apps - source pdf or excel is on one screen and Quickbooks desktop or Quickbooks online is on the other screen. When I am inputting from hard copy then I turn off the power to my second screen. When I am preparing tax returns I have Intuit Profile tax sw open on one monitor and QB desktop or QB Online open on the second screen. When I am taking training using TH-cam or GoToMeeting etc I have the training video on my left monitor and OneNote or Evernote open on the second right monitor. I have a permanent journal off to the side. I note highlights there which I add to my ToDoList at the end of the day.
Excellent tips - thank you very much !! But one question about Lastpass (which I think could save me at least 6 weeks per year !!). My only real security fear is losing my laptop, having it stolen ... would there be a way for a potential thief to find my master password ?? (If I don't do something stupid like save it on the computer ;-) ???
dottotech if for some reason I'm distracted from my computer and anyone gets in they will be able to autofill passwords and get into my email, bank accounts, etc...how do you manage this risk?
I'm not sure why someone would use virtual desktops. Can you explain a little more for me? I seem to do just fine with multiple tabs and minimizing and maximizing. Thanks!
Eric Davolt There are lots of ways to use them, many people create task centric virtual desktops, say one for design with photoshop open, another for email and productivity with your email client,, calendar and to do list manager open etc, you fast switch between them. It is how I do it and it works well for me.
+Vijay Shah we,cone aboard, but I am not sure what you mear by single screen in windows? Do you mean using a single screen and several "virtual desktops"? here is a quick overview www.howtogeek.com/195962/unlock-virtual-desktops-on-windows-7-or-8-with-this-microsoft-tool/

Great stuff! I set up the multiple desktops right away, and was blown away by how well the dictation works too. Less typing for me starting now :)
+AMaeTV I would be lost without dictation now!
+AMaeTV Are we going to see you this year at SMMW16?
Yes absolutely! I was even thinking of putting together a TH-camr meetup of some sort surrounding it.. I'll let you know as it would be amazing to have you there!
Please give me the download/install link for Textexpander
Thanks & Regards
Reference dictation, I find it's good to have my MAC read back to me. For some reason, I have challenges proofing when I just "read" the text.
Great idea Bill Conrad
absolutely enjoyed this video... well done!
Thanks!

Nice productivity tools. Could you, in future, leave names & links to them
Underneath the video, click on "About", then "Shore more". Unfortunately, TH-cam doesn't show you this by default anymore.
How would you set up a single screen work environment in windows 7?
Does this help +Boomtao ?www.lockergnome.com/windows/2012/02/28/how-to-create-multiple-virtual-desktops-in-windows-7-for-free/

not that I know of pkpabst but if your notebook is lost or stolen I would still change my master password.
dottotech if for some reason I'm distracted from my computer and anyone gets in they will be able to autofill passwords and get into my email, bank accounts, etc...how do you manage this risk?
Daniela Baez
Mainly with a screenlock, if I leave my computer for a few minutes the screen locks requiring a password to get back in
