Completely agree, but I am biased...I played RA2 and YR online for a cple years back in the day....but still...they are LEGIT games....AND 23 yrs old?!!? THAT is a fucking LEGACY.
one of the reasons why RA3 had failed, I'm guessing that even the remastered version of RA2 won't be that much pleasing, RA2 is just pixel perfect

Huh, this is similar to a map I designed in Final Alert 2 back when I was like 13 years old in the early 2000s. Just, somebody replaced the center with a Pentagon instead of the turret I put there and shaped the islands to look more like a pentagon. Apologies if this is a map you or someone you know designed independently; it's not like FA2 had a ton of unique options. It was just surprising to see the exact same land/concrete style with the little offshore islands.
Your channel makes me want to play C&C again. Oh the days having to go around to my aunts house to use her PC because of the minimum requirements to play it! :D

Hello I have a few questions:
- Are you playing multiplayer on internet or on LAN?
- Is the game version original or pirated?
- The multiplayer is played on Origin or what program?
- What windows do you have?
I am trying to play Red Alert 2 with a friend on LAN on Windows 10, but it often crashes. We have the pirated version, I had also the original on Origin but idk how to play multiplayer. Please anyone help me with info on how to play this on multiplayer, I will buy the game for both if it works without problems
The crash is intentional; that's part of the copy protection. Red Alert 2 and YR had some of the most advanced copy protection of its era. The resource files contained bad data that would cause the game to crash or seemingly randomly malfunction. However, the copy protection would run constantly to parse out the bad data in memory while simultaneously checking the game file integrity. So, removing it without also fixing the resource files would break the game. It was pretty clever. Try a patch from GameCopyWorld; those usually worked.
For Multiplayer, use Himachi or similar and run everything over the virtual LAN it creates.

Yeah, agreed. I hate the whole stream/superchat thing. Im not here for the same reason as most. I wanna watch gameplay. I don't care who didnt get enough attention as a kid and now has to go around bribing complete strangers on the internet to talk to them and pretend any of it is actually meaningful or genuine.
