Those fall Alaskan sunsets... from TX, went in September (came back with newly purchased jackets), and was just amazed. Absolutely floored. The one where we were at the Arctic Circle line was hands down the best!
This is why my mum has always had us put atleast 2 outfits in each other’s suitcases so that if one bag is lost we all still have some clothes to last us. She has done this since we were little and when I have kids, I’ll be doing the exact same 🙂x

In most contracts when purchasing tickets, airlines are required to give an estimated reimbursement of items in lost luggage. Just a tip, always ask for reimbursement for clothing in the luggage so they pay for some things.

My flight from Texas to Seattle was delayed by 14 hours and I had to fly to Atlanta from Austin then across the entire country to Washington instead of the non stop Austin to Seattle ticket I had bought. But I never check luggage anymore so they can’t lose my bag. But I landed safely so I was thankful although very late.
When packing, pop a packing cube if each of your clothes (underwear / diapers etc) into each of your suitcases, so if any of them get lost, you at least have back up. Sorry to hear about the positive Covid test x
i don’t know if you care, but the cat and jack brand of kids clothes is returnable for up to one year with receipt/or target circle app. It can be used, washed, tag off, for up to one year after purchase and can be exchanged for a new size.
Oh my goodness! I live in Alaska, the mountains in Anchorage are beautiful! They look so close! I definitely recommend visiting the Dimond mall, it’s a great attraction with lots of fun things to do, Anchorage is the biggest city in Alaska with the most to do lol most people from around the state go there at least once a year for fun and shopping 🥰

Pro tip…pack at least an outfit and pjs in each bag for each person. Normally, one would want to group items by person or category but then if a bag goes missing you are in a bind. Think of your packing space and then divide your essentials evenly so if something gets lost you are covered for a couple days. In your personal bag that you bring on the plane, keep documents, electronics, valuables and medications. This is also a good place for a compact set of clothing. Kid clothes are small and easy to fit. Ladies: tshirt, leggings, a sports bra, underwear and socks can easily be pjs or a change of clothing in a pinch. Keep it simple and keep it light and compact.

When you travel share your families clothes over the three cases so if one gets lost it's not all of one person's clothes gone then you will not have to buy anything.
We went to Anchorage May 21 and finding a rental car was impossible! We ended up paying my friend to drive her husbands truck for the 5 days we were there 😂
you know if they lose your bags they have to reimburse you for what was lost. take a picture of whats inside. example. a coat or pajamas and they will have to reimburse you. save your receipts
Because they lost her bag they should be giving you compensation to get the necessities like diapers clothes etc since you won't have it for the first day and potentially longer idk of it's too late for you to do this but for anyone else i hope this helps 😊

I’m not surprised that they lost your bags. Alaskan, which I’m pretty sure is owned by delta, will loose your bags 80% of the time. I used to travel a lot and would avoid delta as much as possible

But I hopefully they gave you some sort of comp for loosing her bag for the night, if it was actually only a night...like what if you guys weren't able to buy her the things she needed..not everyone has that option when traveling.

Quick tip. Is you should try distribute everyone's items between all bags or atleas have 1 outfit for everyone in each bag or carry on
