Man, I remember the Peugeot had bad gear changes and acceleration in a straight line. Still a fun car to drive though, but not exactly the one to use for championships like GT All Stars or GT World Championship...
Its tire wear fuel consumption was by far the best which really made up if you were at least an okay driver. But for the tight tracks in GT world it was damn hard to keep up with it going against Saubers and R92s.
I had the Peugeot in my old save, it is extremely friendly on its tires despite my aggressive driving style.. but yes, the laggy gear changes ruined the car in shorter races. I hope the gear trick can fix it, gonna grind some credits after spending it on the BMW V12 LMR.
So satisfying to watch these cars get thrown around these corners max attack on GT4 the sence of speed you get with GT4 is actually so mich better than gt sport or Im its just in my head

Same, in gt5/6 I almost exclusively used and tuned lmp cars due to their ridiculous potential. Shame gt sport had so little and gt7 straight up hard nerfed them.

Some of the comments concern me when they conflate an LM Touring Car with a LeMans Prototype (LMP)... AMG CLK-GTR is a Touring Car, not an LMP... it doesn't even look like one.
After years ,i have actually started playing GT3 on ps2. been at it since July i only play twice a week for few hours and im hooked ,last night's finally finished beginner stage and finished all the non series events in amateur, the one car that i find my self going back to when it gets tough is the Honda Integra 400+ HP, of pure handling or The Vertigo race car ,back in Gt2 my fav one was the Nismo 400R,it was my absolute choice for endurance and Played GT4 for 10 mins and didn't like it ,too much understeer on a very underpowered car which felt very off 🙄

But it has excellent weight with 750 kg.. Good for tyre maintenance in endurance event

Ah GT4 loved this game, played it way too much! The Courage cars were my favourite but i also remember them being very expensive to buy lol

Actually Toyota GT-One was a GT car as its name suggests. Although it was clearly a prototype it was racing in the GT1 class
There is a gt version that's slightly slower. This 1 is for lmp class.

It was something to do with ai in the game, I think it was to help them keep in a straight line but I'm not too sure.
