Fastest tactical sprint speed is the vel 45 smg with all the movement speed attachments which is 8.17m, and the fastest normal sprint speed is the vector with all its movement speed attachments. The vel is more viable yes you only have a few seconds with that 8.17m run but if you have stim or knife a lot you can reset that tactical sprint and zooom around map, it’s funny, some kid earlier was asking why I was moving faster than them with a the vel out when they had the combat knife. The vector is fast also but the class setup is really hard to get kills with
I've been Knifing since CoD4 In MP I prefer the combat knife as it allows for the most speed and fastest consistent multikill potential(quad+) ...But I gotta say the kodachis are not far behind and definitely have other significant advantages ⚔
Ace! I've watched since the WW2 days 🤟 I run a melee loadout in Warzone and I've used all 3 weapons separately. After the Season 4 update the knife swings slower, and overall it is the least viable. With the change in base health the kodachis are the most consistent with 2 hits to down, but the tonfa is easier to use and more responsive. With it's lunge, inflicted flinch and its ability to lock on (similar to the kali sticks in MW 2019) it is a better melee weapon for someone newer to melee, whereas the kodachis have the faster TTK but take more getting used to. My squad mostly plays Search and Destroy. Running with the knife helps to get to the bomb or to get to the choke points more than the other melee weapons. The Kadashis are more badass and fun I'll admit.
I wish they would make melee good again. For the most part, every weapon either has no lunge or is slower than heck to move with. Bring back the Kali sticks
Players in my lobby seem to react to the sound of me slicing up their buddies in the next room. Meanwhile my teammates don't hear when an enemy is running through our team with an unsilenced shotgun right next to them.
Does anyone miss Xbox 360 "Gamer Zones"? You'd pick from Recreation, Pro, Family and Underground. What it did, or at least what most figured, was that it would make it more likely to encounter other players who also picked that zone; essentially building matchmaking lobbies with like minded players. This could be changed at any time. Underground and Pro really did have different play styles. For this CURRENT MW2, it would be nice for avoiding "Meta" weapon users, as many would probably play locked in to a PRO category. OR just just make it so those weapons are locked. or like paper, rock, scissors type thing.
the reason that knives only need 2 hits to kill a full plated player is probably because of melee crits. if u stayed very close to your target and melee them, your second hit will deal crit damage to kill them, even if your first hit missed. at least that is the case in mw2019 with the kali sticks

Ace, wish you would have gone over weapon swap speed. Biggest reason I don't use kodachis when rushing in SnD bc swapping back to my main weapon is so slow compared to the combat knife.
you didn't touch on draw speed when you switch weapons or after using a field upgrade or killstreak for example I've noticed the dual kadachi has a very long draw animation that combat knife doesn't
Statistical ttk always starts the moment the first hit is registered but it is worth keeping that initial animation in mind in addition to the ttk value
I understand not including additional variable time for bullet velocity, sprint-out, ADS, etc., and minor bolt/trigger delays, but it seems disingenuous to not include the time to first hit in the TTK in these cases. The video also did not have the usual disclaimer that the actual TTK is higher than specified, hence my comment.
I swear they must have buffed the Kodachis speeds and damage, cause I remember them moving slow as molases and needing a second hit when they came to MW2.
I don't use the dead silence and I get abunch of kills, just have a stim and throwing knife on and ya do fine. I gotten 20+ kills every match mainly with tonfa too.

I feel like they really forgot to balance the Kodachi. The Tonfa gets more reach and power then the Fists in return for a massively less generous cone and less speed. The Kodachi gets more reach and cone in return for less speed. If they made the Kodachi had a tighter cone then the knife I think melee weapons would be in a much better place. Except for the fact there is no reason to use the knife aside from raw sprint speed.
The tonfa base sprint speed needs to be buffed, the tonfa should be the fastest way to move in that game especially the nature of the melee but that would make to much sense for cod to balls their guns to be fun
They need to bring back alternative play styles in WZ3 as at the moment they are near impossible to use, stuns suck with how short they are, shield can be shot through because of the delay, the user has the shield up but enemy sees no shield, like 8 hits with a shield and multiple hits with a melee weapon and loads of other issues.
What about the Holster and Pull Out Animation? That seems to be the biggest issue for me - transitioning between melee to firepower - I hate the delay that the DK's have.... That whole animation wrap up with a respectable TTK is what I would be interested in.
The tonfa needs to be buffed, it makes zero sense why the tactical sprint is so fast compared to the normal sprint speed. This melee weapon is not good when your normal sprinting around map and only decent when you have tactical sprint available for a total of 3-6 seconds. I would buff it by making the tactical sprint 8.20m. For comparison the fastest possible way to move for tactical sprint is 8.17m on the Vel 45 smg. The normal sprint speed should be increased to 8.08m. This is currently the rate for tactical sprint which should become the new normal sprint. This would be a appropriate buff for it due to its nature of being a really fast 2 hit melee. Yes I understand why they balanced it this way, because they didn’t want a repeat of the Kali sticks but, I think we are due for something fast to run around with especially since everything else is super slow and boring. Also maybe just maybe I would buff the hit range lunge to like 2.5m, I feel like when I’m using it I just need that centimeter more to lock on.

Thought I was just looking at the wrong times until I intentionally sat mid map and watched the compass. Fire fights going on all around me and zero dots on the compass. They’re all over mini-map though. Apparently no one is running suppressors in the lobby. But what is up wit dis? Really like using it.

Hey I don't know if it count or does extra sage but when you have a throwing knife equipped your melee uses the throwing knife to stab does it do more damage than the fists
I only run melee weapons when I'm doing a challenge. (often on Shipment 24/7 to just get it over with) And I've found you're way too slow with the kodachis to catch a player running away from you (since it's often kills from behind) in a reasonable time, even with the extra range. So I usually just stick to the combat knife. Also, I've noticed, at least for me, that hopping and striking from above when you meet head on very effective, even though I'm not much of a bunny hopper. And I often get a kill from behind when I do.

Ace, I recall in the past that you said that you play in an area where you get higher pings on average. Have you noticed higher pings on average since the launch of season 4 as well as an increase in search times? I’m in Hawaii and there’s a noticeable difference, especially in 10v10, I’m waiting almost 5 minutes or more for a game and many times it’s searching for lobbies around 180-200 ping! I imagine 10v10 being tucked away in quick play might be factor as many players might not even know it’s available.
Something to note - kodachis can melee much sooner out of a slide than knife

maan they need to buff the melee weapons just like how it was with the Bayonet on Vanguard pre nerf. That was a great start.
Note: the Tonfa is better on controller as it seems to work better with aim assist.

No, I've actually seen a significantly better ping on average since Season 3 Reloaded and that's still the case after Season 4
