  • Saddle Platform, no saddle platform, ring of steps, screw in steps, whichever route you decide to go with it is important to do your research before you purchase the products. In this video we are comparing two saddle platform options from Trophy Line.
Trophy Line has been in the saddle game for quite some time, and they are making a strong effort to produce high quality products for saddle hunters.
The trophy line mission platform was released last year, and it was an extremely popular option for hunters. I ran it all last year and I was very happy with it. For me though, it just seemed a little too big for what I was looking for.
This year, 2021, Trophy Line released the E.D.P. platform for guys wanting a little bit smaller saddle platform.
Both of these platforms are great options if you're looking for a new platform this fall. At the end of the day, It's all personal preference!

Great job Cameron - the Mission plateform is by far the best option. It's not always about size and weight...its about movesbility around the tree. The easier it is to hide behind the tree your in and take a shot should be the determining factor. When the predator came out guys were saying I wish there was something a bit bigger....then the Mission came out and guys were cutting it down for weight..IMO....weight is a silly consideration...a slightly larger plateform has greater benefits whether you sit all day or or not. The two pounds of additional weight is worth the size difference and being stealthy

Great comparison review. Loved the number measurements included as well. Thanks man!

Got the Mission last year for Christmas, little bit too bulky, cut off the outer sections on the left and right side, perfect size now along with the rock solid feel

I felt the EDP was a bit small for my size 13. Not enough difference from my predator. But I do feel the Mission is overkill. It could be smaller.
Both trophy line platforms are overbuilt, IMO. Maybe the platforms have to be so thick because they’re cast and not milled, but they’re way thicker material than say, a predator platform.

Still enjoying this platform? Currently have the xop but looking to go to a lighter one, currently between this one and the predator

How well does the mission transport with the backpack straps? Does the leveling hump dig into your back?

I wear a 14 shoe. I guess the Mission would probably work better for me. Trying to decide...

With a size 14 I would say the mission would be better for you

They look nice but there is absolutely no reason that it needs to be almost $200 for about $20 worth of material there's no way that anybody could justify or convince me that it's worth it

      I have a solution!
      1. Borrow a buddies.
      2. Make a foundry
      3. Get aluminum from a junk yard
      4. Make a sand mold
      5. Pour your own
      45 dollars and done lol
