Growing up in Strood as a child, a teenager and a man, where is The Angel pub, The Wardona Cinema and Woolworths now. All gone.? Spitfires fought German fighters and bombers above. Bombs rained down, Doodle Bugs and V2 took their toll. Beautiful Sunderland seaplanes gracefully took off and returned to land back on the Medway at sunset. I would stand on Rochester Bridge and watch them mesmerised. There was not a lot in Strood but it counted just the same, I joined the RAF and never returned, wandered the world. Now I live in the Carpathian mountains. This is my life which started in Strood. No regrets.

Worked at Lynch steel Canal road in the seventies, fond memories of the crew that worked there.😊

I left that place for good, last year.
Not a great area, not the loveliest people and not many good memories.
But we still grow through bad experiences, so thank you for showing that to me.

I live in wales now but I was born at all saints hospital in 1972 Kent born and bred - Chatham people are the friendliest people I know - so many memories flooding back when I watch this

@@klfproductions1445 a bit of a lump in my throat tbh - I moved to wales 7 years ago and my parents moved here as well - my parents were Kent born and bred - unfortunately my pops passed in 2019 but when I watch this I am reminded of him in every way x

Lived in canal road, early 20's, housing association called crescent house.. awful place, loud, anti social neighbours.. best thing was the girls and the view of the river.. eventually you kinda grew into vibe of loud music, drinking and weed, because 99% of the time, thats all it was.. To old for that now😅
Do miss it a little I suppose, if I was 20 again I'd love it.
