Please! Specna Arms was eventually going to get known and popular in the US either way, with Charlie or without. There were already tons of euro videos of Specna Arms replicas on TH-cam that was already drawing a lot of interest in the US before they entered the US market. It probably just wasn’t feasible anymore to have their own distribution here in the US, and was a business decision they unfortunately had to make. Anyways, as a consumer, the only thing I dislike about Evike is their MAP protected items, which pretty much prevents you from using any promo codes on more or less 75% of the items that you’re purchasing. That and their stupid shipping costs for small items.
Specna MIGHT have been slightly more popular when they were Evike only years and years ago but no one was pushing them which means stores won't carry them because they're just another M4 AEG on Evike. I "knew" about them but had no incentive to stock them. Stores don't listen to player gun reviews. At least I don't. Almost every item is MAP protected BUT there's ways stores can get special permission to be exempt for a special occasion. G&G gave me permission to have a 1 day below MAP discount at my big event. It was only about $10 but that's still them giving me permission.
I mean it obviously sucks a lot for the people working for specna in the US. But I assume having a US subsidiary just wasn't economically viable for them. What can they do then? Run the business into the ground for the sake of keeping their american employees employed? As for evike being a bit shit, yeah maybe I guess? If the US market isn't big enough for them to invest a whole bunch of resources into then I guess evike taking care of all distribution is easy.
You are correct, the expectation for a company to maintain a direct distribution center would be a crazy thought, and I would be fine with that but that is not what seems to be going on here. To elaborate more, as someone who has worked with other manufactures at a contractor level (not just playing or reviewing products) them establishing a whole distribution chain only to last little over 2yrs is not a something a company does, let alone getting rid of the person who laid the foundation of what SpecnaArms is known for in the US (Charlie Suarez); to also give exclusive rights to EVIKE knowing their track record with smaller local brick and mortar shops and how difficult doing business with them is in essence a No go to me and other people in the industry. This is solei my opinion, but a brands image at least in the US depends on how the manufacture builds a relationship with the airsoft community and their Clients (i.e. local shops), and many in the industry have said this. SpecnaArms doing this move only sends a message that they care about profits like most of the other Brands that have very little presence in the community. Hopefully this gives you a better understanding on my stance, I don't do airsoft content to be known but I do it for the community and what it has given me.
Glad you mentioned this. Evike are crooks. The fact Specna went with them was the biggest mistake they could make. Good luck to Charlie on his new venture. Maybe he should look into Arcturus, they have been doing amazing things lately compared to most other brands.
@@airsoftlife1238 they are sometimes higher priced compared to other dealers. Their customer service is the worst. They don't price match. They are all about profit. The list goes on. Evike is everything that is wrong with airsoft.
How are you going to blame Evike for that? They didn’t innovate for the longest time and the rest of the industry passed them by. They are just barely updating their guns
so to sum it up: "wahhhh, wahhh I lost my high margins from the brand shop and now I'm left with the option to earn less!!! wahhh wahhh" get a grip - it's crazy yall are judging any manufacturer from that standpoint 😂. Who even is Charlie anyways - never heard of that guy, yet yall seem to glaze him so bad!
I know you can see this Specna Arms
Sounds like a yank problem to me!
Please!
