The government didn’t create the loophole, the ISP providers who don’t want to pay the tax created the loophole. So, I will say the ISP should pay the tax.

Imagine your children are in a private school, the school fees is 10000. And they neither mention they will charge an extra 2000 for extracurricular activities. Suddenly when you goes to pay fee, they ask you to charge extra money. But you thought that every charges comes under that 10000. Would you pay that extra 2000?
Personally, I wouldn't. The school policies were not specific enough. Would you rather say I am exploiting the loopholes or the school is exploiting the loopholes to charge extra from parents?
Bro ips providers are not wrong. It is the question of interpretation and our policies lack such interpretation. An easy solution to this problem would by amending few definitions in the act. The act in Nepal are not transparent and they are not taken care at the right time

Not really, In simple words... ISP's have been cheating customers. Service and maintainance charge ko naam ma dherai charko mulya liyera ISP le arabau kamako dekhera Sarkar lai ni vaag chaiyeko ho tara ISP le dinu namaneko ho ani Sarkar le international payment banda gardeko isp ko revenge leko .

Tax Evasion: This inflated "support and maintenance" fee creates a loophole for ISPs to potentially evade taxes.
Let's break it down with an example. Imagine you subscribed to a plan with an internet fee of Rs. 619.05 and a "support and maintenance fee" of the same amount (Rs. 619.05). This unfair proportion throws the entire cost structure out of whack, leading to a loss in tax revenue.
Here's how it should be: In the example above, a legal breakdown would show an internet fee of Rs. 825.4. The remaining Rs. 206.4 would then be attributed to legitimate charges like TSC (Telecommunication Service Charge), VAT (Value Added Tax), and royalty (a fee on internet usage).
This isn't just hypothetical. This is a real example from a one-month Worldlink plan for a single user. The breakdown reveals Rs. 20.64 as TSC, Rs. 2.68 as VAT, and a 6% royalty on the internet fee itself.
Now, consider this: that's just one user's one-month invoice with Worldlink, who recently announced reaching a staggering 9 lakh users. If they're potentially evading around Rs. 279.84 per user annually through this inflated fee structure, the numbers paint a concerning picture. Imagine the potential tax revenue loss when multiplied by their entire user base!
This practice, if true, borders on a large-scale financial irregularity. It's crucial to bring transparency to internet billing and ensure ISPs adhere to lawful tax practices.
So, the next time you make a video, consider including this vital aspect. Let's shed light on this hidden cost and advocate for fair and transparent billing practices by our ISPs!
As said in comment above video fails to mention how private ISP companies are exploiting support and maintenance charge by charging 100% of internet fee instead of max of 50% fees as defined by law. Also, how private company like Vianet Communications are selling high bandwidth (400Mbps/500Mbps) to consumer without any permission which can be seen if you are vianet customer, not in their website.

50% of 1000 is 500. In your own example ISPs are taking 100% maintenance fee. And as in your example, in real life as well ISPs are taking 100% maintenance fee which is totally illegal.

1 month ago during my examination my worldlink service is cut without any cause same thing happen 3 times. they cut more than weeks and doesn't pick up call in local branch. main branch pick up call and says workers arrived during day time even though we already mentioned that at day time we are not in home more than weeks same mistake repeat i waste more than 200 rs in recharge.
finally problem solve and i asked that you should pay compensation of that time caz during that time my examination are running.I mailed and called for compensation but they didn't give> I think these is the reason of going abroad
