    2 memorable mowing experiences for me were 1) mowing with my Massey 283 2 WD and open station pulling an 8' TRI heavy duty rotary cutter mowing 14 acres for a neighbor. This acreage hadn't been mown for a couple of years and the weeds were higher than my head with me standing on the tractor platform. I was just about through when I found 3 metal fence T posts that were piled up. OUCH. 2) mowing with the same rig and this time about 1/2 mile from my truck and trailer when I blew a seal in the power steering cylinder and lost all my steering. I was able to very slowly get back down the farm road and to my trailer. Fortunately I didn't burn the pump up.

    I'm right there with ya, Hank. Because whenever I listen to music. I have multiple ways. I can listen to music. But I always go around my house with my head set on listening to my favorite tunes and my favorite music. Will the headset on? Because I feel that's the better way to do it. When you want to listen to your tunes, just the right. It's always good to go around listening to over the headset on.

    Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable.
    Sorry that your rear tire got cut up. Hard telling how that happened. Just keep an eye on it. Seems to be ok now.
    Your mower goes a good job. The area looks nice after running the mower over it.
    Thanks for everything.
    Take care.

    Our friend - the forks are a good idea moving things around as you mow. If you get in a tight spot then drop the forks in the open and go to work then come back to the spot and get the forks back on. Turning is tough in trees.

    Hank wouldn't it have been better to go in there with the bobcat and the chipper head and cut it all and take out the stumps? Then the next cut you could use the tractors and bushhog and not be worried about getting into a stump and shearing pins on that cutter.

    Mahindra is another great contender catching on, we have been absolutely blown away by our little one we bought on advice from another TH-camr. It's an Indian brand, assembled here stateside but I believe they're made with a lot of S. Korean parts as well (not 100% sure of that) but man, they're every bit as good as TYM. Certainly more reliable than the last two Deere's we had.

    • @rodgerneeb301
      @rodgerneeb301 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mahindra was among the first I considered, and in the models I was considering, I had discovered that they were a TYM chasis with a Mahindra engine. I am now the owner of a TYM with the Kukje engine.

    Had that on my IH 354 when new. Mowing the edge of an old field, a torn up piece of car was buried, just a little up off the ground, enough to cut thru the 4 ply new tire, a 12 " concentric gash..I never had any problem with the tire, used it for spraying with the weight limit on the 3 point, for 15 years, looked nasty, the tube never broke thru . How it is on unknown ground.

  • @martineastburn3679
    @martineastburn3679 ปีที่แล้ว

    I did something similar - sliced the side of my rear tire and Wack went flat. I was able to patch it to get it to the shop but I had to buy a pair of tires from JD and Now I have a spare. It was some metal building purlins that sliced it as I drove next to it to mow. Ouch !

    I rented a Bobcat skid steer on tracks with a Diamond brush cutter for a week. Sure will spoil you. So much better visibility and maneuverability than the tractor. My old body doesn’t like twisting around to look behind. That combo is tough as nails and no shear bolts to break and no flat tractor tires mowing in thorny mesquite and locust trees.

    I'm new to tractors and I've got about 20 acres that hasn't been mowed in over 2 years. I just bought the property a month ago and there is some junk hidden in the brush. Will it put too much stress on the mower or tractor if I raise the mower a foot or two off the ground (the tail wheel would be in the air) and do the first pass like that? It's a 50hp Kubota (M4800) and a 6' Rino mower.

    Odd question for you. Do you think a buddy seat could be fashioned to fit in the cup holders on the left side of the tractor seat? Reason I'm asking is I'm buying a TYM 574 in September and I've got 8 grand kids who will be wanting to ride in the cab with me. They range from 6 months (too little to ride), to 11 years old. I was thinking I could fabricate a seat that had cup like protrusions on the bottom that fit into the cup holders and had a seat and back on it for the kids to sit on. Your thoughts?
    BTW, loved your phone = it's not 3:38, it's 1538. Like you I still use 24 hr time on my phone and in my car.

    • @hhamilton1970

    i think viewers want camp in an rv or motor home for a few nights. might be an i deer to toy around with. you’d need to do sewer,water hook ups. hang out do like bbq’s. no nothings cheap but come up with a rental fee most rv’s today are fifty amps some older ones if their still around 30amps. or have a cabin to. but i’d put in an asphalt quarts mix path or an i deer to put in a rv fifth wheel. you rent it. running it just an ac filter change. run black water sewer to prevent odors. renters are required to clean up mop not be pigs. what i’d do if their coming pre roll out the awning get it cooled down turn the fridge on no grease down the sink in ours is a big no no. wash clean your own dishes food sodas that’s the renter rv toilet paper aqua stuff yea it takes to getting used to. or you can do a cabin that route to. most rv’s today 80,000$ plus budget wise

      If you brushhog once a year saplings do not grow into trees. If trees grow up big and thick in wet ground or other land that could be eventually lost or claimed by regulations its worth it. Goes with being a land owner.

      @@johnoler357 There are 5 government federal agencies that regulate wetland. If a person lets wetland plants/trees (or any weeds and trees) grow for 5 years or more the land is at a very real risk of being considered a wetland subject to regulation (essentially making it of no value). Wetland rule making is a favorite political football and the noose only grows tighter. Timber is the next target for regulation because of climate change carbon sequestration. My advice is to buy all tillable upland soil unless a parcel is already grandfathered/protected in a documented federal forestry or CRP program.
