Solution for your belt coming off is the spring in your adjustment pulley has to be upgraded to bit more push. A few of my mates with one fan belt for everything had the same issue with street cars and 4wd.
I think someone needs a reminder that they have a 600hp patrol, twin locked on 35s with a 4inch lift when approaching "hard tracks" being led by a fortuner

70 grand of Frankenstein nissan barely better than 7 grand of near stock yota. Lock, lift and lugs for the yota shell be unstoppable

The gu makes everything just look so difficult... It's just way to top heavy somehow even though it's all light weight stuff
When going uphill when it is slipery use 2 or 3 gear your v8 has more than inough power 1ste gear does not have speed it would just keep on limiting and get nowhere😂😂

do 80s have an LSD rear? Would be cool to see a shimmed LSD and auto looker in the front for a budget build. Tho i've heard cruisers LSD are pretty much open diffs lmao

Taking out the 400kg heavy hunk of Nissan out of the front and replacing with a super light 180kg LS1 will do that. I'm just guessing here but thinking the lack of weight over the front wheels is also why he struggled to get traction were the standard Nissans had no trouble

Landcruisers are shit mate what do you expect. The only reason they dont break that often is because they dont have the power to do so. If you put a v8 like what's in Sam's, in a landcruser and bash the limiter they will bust up in no time whatsoever!
vevohoeyo now that’s the difference between patrol owners and cruiser owners. Cruiser owners are happy to take it slow and get everywhere, where as patrols put the foot to the floor, break stuff and get stuck ;)

That 79 series that picked a wheel near the gums campsite over the sss winch weekend. Seen an old patrol flat bickie hitting the ruts down the bottom not on the actual hill. His spring flew out hit the trees and drove off never to bee seen hahaha. Wild weekend, always good fun at cruiser park

@@speyles invest in some reduction gears. Ive got a ls3 patrol Ute (top heavy as well) with 4.3 diff gears, 35, a stock manual and I put the 43% reduction.
You will be crawling through everything, brings the torque back down like a 4.2L and its easier to control.
Best way to describe it when you change it. Your current first gear becomes your second gear and your first gear becomes the new crawler gear.
