Oh, that was exciting. I would have done the same thing - through the open gate and across to the unknown island for an adventure. It feel like I should read something childlike about exploring now.
I'm away, too. I have Strange Boy and Love of Seven Dolls, i have a Ronert Holmes biography and i have some Mickey Mouse comics reprinted from the 1930s. I've caught up with some friends, been to a gallery, joined a library, and eaten tasty food. I poked around in a music shop, and a couple of bookshops. I picked up some recent Australian comics. And slept more than usual. It feels like a holiday!

Swallows and Amazons surely. Great channel. Thanks

Alfred Bester The demolished Man is also stunning. 50's science fiction is fantastic. I love Perth Fantastic City
Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful journey, felt like I was there in Scotland! Enjoy❤
Never expected to see you in Perth. That is some climb indeed. That Oxfam bookshop is expensive. I volunteered there very briefly many years ago.
Adventures ; picked up a Charles Bukowski Betting on the Muse ; import too. Well done on the Vonnegut and enjoy your time away .

that sounds wonderful!
Absolutely beautiful scenery! Magical places! I'm currently recovering (positively) from surgery, and this was so therapeutic to watch 😂 I love it.
glad to hear you're recovering!
Was it 'My Name Is Why' by Lemn Sissay? I read that. The woman who was his foster mother was vile.
yes, i'm a couple of chapters in and haven't got to that yet!
The man who fell to Perth
