    Genius comes from peak laziness. Lazy people will work harder to work less.

    Use a water sensor to tell your MC to start pumping and mount the control panels on your drawer front.

    Awesome. I, also, have rigid wires pissing me off right now.

    I'd coat the pcb in conformal coating.
    that way, you still get the jank factor of an exposed bord.
    just without the associated risk.

    I came to see the washing program redone, to soak longer etc. Hell, to wash and cook potatoes actually 😀 But a nice project 👍

    Thumbs up for creativity! Obvious issue to fix is the insulation of the pcb as paper doesn't cope very well with a humid environment and your valuable microcontroller won't last very long, also the pump you're using will need to be recalibrated if you decide to change detergent brand/type. A peristaltic pump bigger than the one you've got (you can 3d print one from thingiverse) paired with a stepper motor would give you a more consistent output.
    Having said so, congrats on the project! Which AI did you use to program the pi?

      thanks a lot I'm already planning to to redo the whole thing, it's not fantastic in its current state. I'm also planning to add a calibration feature to the menu system. And I used to chatGPT, mostly just to play around with it and see what it can do it's not great with micropython.

    Get the detergent out first and leave it out until the machine is running. Spend the rest of the day lying on the sofa. Job done ;-)

      I counter that with two hours of work; not having to open the cupboard again, now all it needs is a twist of the knob and two button presses and I’m on the couch (I don’t actually have a couch, I’m more of a standing desk person, it’s better for your back).

    You could take the cupboard door off the washing machine.

    Pardon, you got an AI to program your UI for you?!?! Is this GPT3? Oh my god! I need to try this!

    • @Mellow_labs
      @Mellow_labs  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, it’s kind of hit and miss when it comes to micropython libraries. But with some adjustments, you can usually get it to do what you want.

      It means that Mellow Labs has time to innovate on his own, and make washing machines that are controlled by Linux (Raspberry Pi). I wish all appliances ran on Linux.

    • @Mellow_labs
      @Mellow_labs  ปีที่แล้ว

      Version two will just be a screen connected to the washing machine with a Linux terminal 😆
      “ honey using the washing machine is it difficult just have to cd in to the washing machine directory, run the washing_machine.py with the appropriate flags for what kind of laundry you want to do” 😂😊

    Get the detergant out first, put clothes in plus detergant, start the machine, put away detergent. Only 3 door openings. Not about like for some unkown reason you was doing. Still cool.
