I don't know if my experience can help, but I have Mars in Taurus in the 6th house, forming a lot of aspects to other planets and this is what I can say about myself: - I hate conflict and I tend to avoid it by either being more submissive than I actually am or by repressing my feelings (mostly negative feelings such as anger or jealousy or sadness). I like discussions of ideas, I'm fine with practical problems... The type of conflicts that make me uncomfortable are situations in which people hurt each other emotionally or aren't listening to each other (basically, fights with loved ones or within a community). - When I find myself in the middle of a conflict, I tend to act as a mediator between all parties or support whoever is in "the losing side/minority", by default. Basically, I'm diplomatic. I like people to get along and be able to reach an agreement or even agree to disagree. - I struggle with being assertive and expressing my wants or needs. This is mostly due to a tendency to lack confidence or lack of motivation. - I struggle with taking action, starting things or taking risks... Because I want to consider all the possibilities (which are always too many), I want to make the right choice and that causes indecision it fear of not having a secure plan of action. However, after I start something I usually persist until the very end, even when it doesn't seem to be working, I just keep going. - I can be very hard-working but I tend to burn my energy by overworking too much... It's just hard to have a balance between work/study and recreation/rest/personal life. Maybe this balance is hard for me because it usually takes me a lot of time to finish things, I'm a slow worker and a slow learner, even though I'm a fast thinker. I'm also academically oriented. - I have a surprisingly good physical health and a strong immune system. (I'm not super athletic, I'm not great at sports or anything, but I have no allergies, I barely get sick, etc). Mental health isn't so great, but that's probably my Virgo Moon. - I'm not naturally an agressive or resentful person, I don't get angry at others easily... (I can't get annoyed or moody, obviously, but not angry, not over small things.) But I can develop a lot of anger and frustration towards myself. (Again, probably because of my Virgo Moon and how self-critical/perfectionistic I am.)
I think the movie that expresses this best is ‘Midsommar’, blood sacrifice for the fecundity of the earth. I garden....and many gardeners will bury fish under their plants to feed them.
Dude I'm your grandpa all the way. I'm sag rising so Jupiter is my ruler sitting with Mars. I have my Venus in aqua conjunct my sun and moon. That struggle is so real.
whoa... I have Sun-Moon-Venus conjunct in Aquarius with Mars and Jupiter in Taurus--I'm an Aries rising though so my ruler is Mars. I agree these placements are perplexing at times..I'm curious to hear more about your experience. What is the struggle you speak of?
You speaking about your own grandpa and his Mars in Taurus characteristics made me think of my grandpa as well, which prompted me to look at his chart, and yes, he has Mars in Taurus too. 😉
Didn't Mars originally rule agriculture, the power of the seed bursting through the soil? It seems Taurus / Venus earthy, fertile beauty would resonate at that level, giving Mars a positive outlet for all its power and energy.... make love not war and grow something big to feed the many.
Guhhh the constellation myth explains a lot to me. There is a real perverse darkness to desire that I don't think most people understand if they don't identify with Taurus. Also, a very Taurus question: what is that blue paint color in your office? I love it so much.
Haha...thank you...I don't know the name...it's Krishna blue! :) You are right...the perverse layer of darkness, control, and power in Taurus is often glossed over!
Hmm very interesting, I am a slow learner but I must say you are a very good teacher! Thank you, I myself have my Mars in 2nd house Taurus & Venus in 11th house aquarius!! I am so interested in Astrology yet its s challenge to interpret my chart
Hi Adam, thank you for your unique approach to astrology. How would you describe the taste of a potluck made of Mars and Moon conjunct in Taurus in the 12, opposite Venus in Scorpio in the 5th? Who’s winning this battle? :)
This story is creepy and terrible, but a perfect fit for Uranus in Taurus Washington Post, March 7 2019 "The last thing this gardener may have planted before his death? Explosives. Not much is known about Bernhard Graumann, a 59-year-old German gardener who died Friday in his home in Mehlingen, Germany. But reports indicate he enjoyed making things blow up, and authorities are now warning people who might have had bad relations with him to be extremely cautious. Those who knew Graumann say he was a performer and made the most of his explosives license - utilizing pyrotechnics to add an entertaining flair while reenacting scenes from the Middle Ages. He also dabbled in re-creating antique firearms that use gunpowder, according to the BBC. But local authorities fear the man also used his expertise for significantly darker purposes, to rig booby traps prior his death intended to harm his enemies from beyond the grave. The Associated Press reports one person has already been killed and two others were harmed in recent days because of hidden bombs. Police have linked those bombs to Graumann..."
This is by far the most unique perspective I've ever heard/read on mars in taurus.

Thank you for your self reflection, you described me also and I'm a virgo moon too.
Your understanding of Taurus as the bullish, beautiful, and YANG sign it is....is very affirming, to say the least. Love, Taurus Moon Man

One planet is not sufficient to describe the human experience. The whole chart must be examined to understand the whole story.
