Hiii, Awesome Run ! Im new playing this game, Maybe around couple week and just doing main quest but stuck at Fatalis and looking for some trick to pass the quest. I have 1 quest on this run. What is the function of smoke when the Fatalis got knock? as far as i know when monster knock they didnt do anything that mean we got free hit. Why you use ur smoke first then hit instead hit first then when the Fatalis trying to awake you use the smoke? Thank you.
Hey, don't worry I was stuck at fatalis for a while when I started. I threw the smoke down to make him lose track of me. Notice that the little minimap in the corner goes purple. that means hes lost track of you. then i use the evasion mantle to evade when he sees me and he roars. this gives me a damage boost. If you're focusing on just killing him for the forst time, don't worry about complex strategies like mine, just throw a smoke after the knockdown and then proceed to do damage.
If youre on xbox, its B->RT->Y->Y->Y->B->Y+B->spam Y.. its complicated when typed out but once you get used to doing this combo it comes naturally when a monster is down

Why can't you equip the Partbreaker？
If I equip partbreaker on the armor it can make Fatalis flinch too early in phase 1. So I only put I on the evasion mantle for phase 2
