I love the relationship between Eli and Miguel. Eli totally loves and respects miguel but is very competitive against him and has no problem physically or verbally confronting him when he is upset with him but is always the first one by his side when he goes down and was his only friend except Sam to actually bother visiting him in the hospital in person.
I feel like Hawk is a better friend to Miguel than Miguel is to hawk. Even before, Miguel was running around after Sam, while Johnny also was a better sensei to Miguel. Thats probably half of why Hawk stayed with Cobra Kai the first time round, and then went to Miyagi-do and not Eagle fang when he came back to karate, as Demetri was the one who was there for him

Miquel in s4 is better than in s2 actually i would say his injury here might be irrelevant to the 1 in s4 i mean it is a streched muscle after all that can happen when you pull of such a move.I think miquel was nerfed psychologically in s4
I think people don’t realize that Miguel is still strong in s4, because in the party fight he encounter every attacks from Robby, so he still ahead of Robby and Hawk, If Miguel knows any types of karate like Shito ryu nor Kyokushin karate, he’ll be the strongest in Cobra kai characters.

Fantastic storytelling. The way they go from building up the audience with that rousing music and the flashbacks to making us all gasp with that injury out of the blue. His cry at the end is heartbreaking.
I love the brief part of the fight at 0:44. Only lasts a second or two. No dodging or jumping back, both standing their ground well within striking distance trading strikes and blocks.
When you slow down the choreography in this its crazy even when you think why Hawk didn't counter certain times you realize Miguel is a machine that kept coming, hawk was overmatched if it wasn't for Miguel's injury
I slowed it down too, he countered everything hawk did and tried to finish him off with a twister kick. If not for the injury he definitely would of destroyed this fight.

Man, this ending got me so scared, I was scared that Miguel lost all of his recovery progress and wasn’t able to walk again but the next episode revealed that it was only a minor back injury.
Yeah I thought he was gonna be crippled again too and I was like "OH NO!! MIGUEL!!!!" But then in the next episode I was relieved that he can still walk when he left to Mexico.

I'm glad when demetri reminding Daniel that nobody has be able to beat Miguel. Even Miyagi do's admitted Miguel is undeafeted. He just lost his spirit and faith after "i love you too Robby" moment. I think next season his mom, hawk/demetri, sam or even Johnny will get hurt because Terry's Cobra Kai and reawaken his fighting spirit. That's why it really wasn't that impressive of a victory. Just like Johnny scoring his points against Daniel wasn't either. Doesn't mean Johnny is an inferior fighter to Daniel and vice versa. He had a bad fight, much like Miguel. I think the problem with Miguel, like Johnny, both were also fighting with too much anger. And in a skilled sport, you can lose focus. Which I think both Miguel and Johnny were guilty of. Only difference is that Miguel happen to still win, but continued attacking Robby's injury. Outside that, he was struggling with Robby, because he was too heated, where Robby was focused.
Yeees! What got me was his reaction when his back cracked as he fell on the floor. His agonizing pain in his scream was like sooooo heart breaking. I felt soooo bad for him especially because he’s my most favorite character. I almost cried becuase I totally understand the pain he was in.
Personally, i didn't think so. His fight here might just be my favourite fight from the entire show, extremely well paced and choreographed. And he really wasn't up for getting all the pressure put on his shoulders after everything that happened in the last weeks. This might have been my favourite Cobra Kai season finale, and i am super excited for S5.
I just realized Miguel's loss here is the concequence of Johnny choosing to not train Miguel for the tournament for some reason i can't remember right now. Had he participated in the training sessions instead of just watching,they probably would have discovered how unstable his back is and could have found a way to remediate it

Na.. It’s Hawk we talking. His main attribute is his speed. Hawk would’ve countered it I strongly believe. That’s why they make this scenery so beautifully. Miguel would’ve tornado kicked anyone,, shown to be done several times, yes..but not Hawk. Don’t be so quick to judge the fight. Hawk is talented and very skilled, look back at how much he grown over the seasons… Millions of folks say Miguel would’ve won “easily” but I’m one of the fewest out there that believe Hawk would’ve countered that tornado quick and it would come out as a draw. Just being observant. This fight is truly amazing and with Miguel, Robbie, and Hawk, the 3 of them are truly fucking skilled and equally matched. But something about Hawk.. his potential is breathtaking. 🔥💯

I for one am actually relieved that Miguel and Eli didn’t have to fight each other this time around. When they fought at Coyote Creek, they were enemies. This time they were fighting as friend vs friend, and they had too much respect for one another to truly take the other down.

I'm glad when demetri reminding Daniel that nobody has be able to beat Miguel. Even Miyagi do's admitted Miguel is undeafeted. He just lost his spirit and faith after "i love you too Robby" moment.
I think next season his mom, hawk/demetri, sam or even Johnny will get hurt because Terry's Cobra Kai and reawaken his fighting spirit. He will get the hero's return arc for sure because Cobra kai started because of him (his grandma get diarrhea 😁) and he's the one who will end Cobra Kai once and for all.

damn never thought of that with this fight and the gis. If you watch the skill competition it looks like Diaz is trying to do a Hadouken which was too funny.
Only difference is that Hawk is more Ken and Miguel is more Ryu personality wise
That fist bump in 0:12 shows the level of sportsmanship the two have. Despite now being in different dojos and competing against each other, the two show that they put friendship first. And not holding back shows how much respect the two have for each other by refusing to give anything less than their all
Miguel is still the GOAT. Besides Kyler in early season 1, nobody has ever beaten Miguel in a fight. Hawk has been beat by Robby, Sam, Demetri, and Miguel. Prime Season 2 Miguel was unbeatable

Because Robby had Miguel beat. I'm sorry, he did, and I love Miguel.
The way Hawk beat Robby is impressive. Robby had one moment's hesitation, where it looked like he could have scored a point and won, but Hawk had Robby pinned and ready to score a point before the bell rang, before they went into OT. That is as 'even' as a fight you'll see, and this was when Robby was a MUCH better fighter than he was in season 1.
So what if Hawk has been beaten. He's grown since season 2 and has become a different fighter. He was all aggression in the previous seasons, but Miyagi-Do actually did wonders for him. As a person, and as a fighter. He became balanced...

That's why it really wasn't that impressive of a victory.
Just like Johnny scoring his points against Daniel wasn't either. Doesn't mean Johnny is an inferior fighter to Daniel and vice versa. He had a bad fight, much like Miguel.
I think the problem with Miguel, like Johnny, both were also fighting with too much anger.
And in a skilled sport, you can lose focus. Which I think both Miguel and Johnny were guilty of.
Only difference is that Miguel happen to still win, but continued attacking Robby's injury. Outside that, he was struggling with Robby, because he was too heated, where Robby was focused.
This scene almost gave me a heart attack and then seeing Miguel scream for Johnny sent me just abt into a coma 😭💔 my poor boy

Yeees! What got me was his reaction when his back cracked as he fell on the floor. His agonizing pain in his scream was like sooooo heart breaking. I felt soooo bad for him especially because he’s my most favorite character. I almost cried becuase I totally understand the pain he was in.

Personally, i didn't think so. His fight here might just be my favourite fight from the entire show, extremely well paced and choreographed. And he really wasn't up for getting all the pressure put on his shoulders after everything that happened in the last weeks.
This might have been my favourite Cobra Kai season finale, and i am super excited for S5.

I don't think so, this was like In real life where even great fighters has Ups and downs, they didn't always win and get what their want.
I just realized Miguel's loss here is the concequence of Johnny choosing to not train Miguel for the tournament for some reason i can't remember right now. Had he participated in the training sessions instead of just watching,they probably would have discovered how unstable his back is and could have found a way to remediate it
Not only that but miyagi do could've kept him safe but Johnny's jealousy just did him in.

Hawk is talented and very skilled, look back at how much he grown over the seasons…
Millions of folks say Miguel would’ve won “easily” but I’m one of the fewest out there that believe Hawk would’ve countered that tornado quick and it would come out as a draw. Just being observant.
This fight is truly amazing and with Miguel, Robbie, and Hawk, the 3 of them are truly fucking skilled and equally matched. But something about Hawk.. his potential is breathtaking. 🔥💯

I for one am actually relieved that Miguel and Eli didn’t have to fight each other this time around. When they fought at Coyote Creek, they were enemies. This time they were fighting as friend vs friend, and they had too much respect for one another to truly take the other down.
Miguel couldn't have taken down Eli even if he wanted to not this Eli. You see Eli moved. Out the way of the kick it wouldn't have landed regardless of the injury. But if Robby hadn't almost killed him s3 Miguel would be prime
