The seasons of this series took forever to get a Blu-ray release. We're talking about a TV show that premiered in August 1997, but didn't start putting the episodes out on Blu-ray until 20 years later in December 2017. However, the movie South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut has been out on Blu-ray since June 30, 2009.
I've bought box sets 1-5 , and 6-10 @ walmart... I've been searching for 11-15 on blu ray as well but no luck..and just today I found and had to buy 16-20 on bluray...pretty sweet
South Park is my favourite animated television series. I have all 21 seasons on DVD and my favourites are 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 17, and 19. My least favourites are 20, 18, and 2.
I don't have the blu rays unfortunately. I'm not sure about the quality of the discs themselves but the quality of the episodes starts off inconsistent with the first 2 seasons (sometimes decently sharp, other times blurry) but it gradually improves with later seasons and the blurry quality was thankfully fixed. Plus Season 13 and onwards looks incredible, both quality and the show itself.
I came to this video because I've just got the seasons 6-10 bluray and all the discs were in the wrong order, and I wanted to see if anyone else's was. I only noticed halfway through the 1st disc when I checked an episode guide and it turns out its season 9. It doesn't say the seasons but I've since noticed that the discs do have the year of the season on them, and are colour coded for each season too.
@@SofiaFox Ok, I don't want to be in an argument about this no hard feelings! I just assumed that if the art on the disc's were the same it would be the same content! I know the difference between blu-ray and DVD but I thought it would be something similar if not identical!

Bought Season 1 & 2. They’re region free, they played perfectly on my player (my player is also region free). The only seasons that aren’t region free are Seasons 14, 15 & 16.
Now does this have all the episodes? because there were some episodes that were banned. So if it's missing those episodes it's best to buy the dvds but if they are on this then I want to get these.
Where did you buy these from for 30$ please let me know right away so I can also buy them even though I already have the dvd set. The bluray is far better quality.

I can understand why someone would pay extra for a bluerat disk if the media is a big hollywood blockbuster. But south park... really??? To be frank VHS/DVD/Blueray. Its all gona look the same.
@@JsBluRays What you call 'remastered' is just a fancy way of saying the media was Upscaled in Resolution. You can shoot a video in 480p and upscale it to even 8k in a video editing software like premiere pro. But its still gonna look trash.

Carmen Caldwell I think the reason why Seasons 11-15 box set hasn’t released on Blu Ray yet it’s because the Blu Ray for Season 12 has 3 Discs

Looks like these are pretty much out of print already. Walmart and Best Buy no longer carry them and they are selling for high prices on eBay.
I got the 1-5 one at a local game/movie store for 25 bucks, which is half the price it is on amazon

J's Blu-rays, South Park: Seasons 11-15, as well as Seasons 16-20, are coming out on Blu-ray September 17th.
The dvds on the blue-ray releases are identical to the original dvd releases to the dvd sets . I know this because I have all the season sets on dvd.
No, the Blu-ray have been reformatted to 16:9 HD, they went back to the origina Flash files and re-rendered them.

Hi, I have a question. i bought season 1-5 as a dvd and have black bars on the left and right in the picture. is that the same on the blue ray?
Well that's because seasons 1-12 are 4:3, and seasons 13-up are 16:9!! So the Blu-rays are the same!
The blu-rays are remastered with extended 16:9! Except for season 11 and about half of 12, both of which are cropped to 16:9.
