Hey Danie, Not all cruisers have a brick for a handbrake, mine works too 😂
#workinghandbrakegang 🤣🤣
Try Leichhardt St in town. One of the steepest in the ‘ville.
yes that is also a steep one!
I sometimes use low range cause my hubs are unlocked.. I can do low 2wd... and then got to do a sketchy neutral low to to high shift once back on the flat road again to get above 50kmh
I have the awesome 2L 2.4 diesel so taking off uphill with a car trailer is heaps fun 😄
Fark yeah! Go Simmo! 🤙
I'm all about automatic transmission nowadays after a knee injury. So seeing manual cars in hill starts is kind of fun. 😅
hahhah that's a positive way of looking at something negative! love it
You should look what is actually holding automatic in Park and you may reconsider to rely only on that when parking uphill.
@@ondrejmarko01 Both my cars have fully functional parking brakes. I apply the brake in neutral and let it set before I shift to parking gear.
It was the manual hill start procedure I found amusing. I just slightly rev up my engine while left foot braking and then release the brake when I start on a steep hill or while towing. Otherwise I just drive.
No burning clutch smell in my cars, they have torque converters with massive oil coolers to take care of any excess heat.
@@lag_profil yeah, no burning clutch because automatic doesn't have one. Just have a look what is holding your whole car in park. You will be surprised.
@@ondrejmarko01 I know exactly how it works.
How did you achieve this??
correct handbrake adjustment plus drum brakes :)
@@DanieSimpson Yeah, correct adjustment is key, loads of people are talking about it. Would you do video with your way of adjustment?
@Ondřej Marko probably won't do a video my procedure is simply as per OEM Repair Manual. Majority of people have simply stretched their cables and it will never adjust correctly after that
