- Hello viewers!! In this video, I'm going to share my Upsc journey that was full of ups and downs. I hope the things that I have shared in my video will be helpful to you.

when I was in 11th grade I made a decision not to prepare for any exam like this especially {UPSC}.
I think preparing for UPSC is totally senseless and ''waste of life" in this era, though it'd be an ambiguous statement..

Few months back, even I realized that whatever I was looking to get through civil services, I can get through teaching field also - whether it is respect, work satisfaction or making a larger social impact.
One suggestion from my side :- Being a psychology student, you can also start making mental health awareness videos, particularly for students, through your youtube channel. Your personality will also match perfectly. 😊

It was just yesterday when I decided to leave the preparation altogether!!
Why I left? Because I could see myself growing in the private sector. Had I persevered, I would never have known my true potential.
It’s hard to move on because I still have 3 attempts left, but I would again be wasting this golden opportunity of growth.
But, I would never quit learning!!
One thing that UPSC CSE prep has taught me is to question everything and the importance of hard work and right knowledge.

Csat is not an appitude test it give advantage to one specific field.....
One of the most important thing I would like to add here...I'm in this journey for 5-6 yrs ..so I would mark here that...plzzz plzzz plzzz agr aap coaching lene Jaa rhe ho to pehle apna backup bnakr jana...yha back-up mtlb plan B nahi hai...
Backup Mtlb ki ncert wgerh padhkr jana taaki wha class me jakr drowsy feel na kro...
Qki coaching walo ko sirf apki fees se mtlb hai..uske alawa kon wha active hai kon nahi unko frk nahi padhta hai...
Unka pesa account me phucha uske baad wo free hai bcoz responsibility koi nahi leta...
Second thing ki starting se hi backup back-up mt krna ..haaa thik hai graduation se pehle hi decide kr chuke ho to graduation stream ko backup ki tarha built krlo...but atleast 3 attempt dene ke baad apna plan B soch lena...
Nd wo 3 attempt bh serious wale...
Next thing is...ki jo bh bachche upsc me utarte hai wo 1attempt se pehle atleast 2 saal padai krte hi krte hai...
Nd trust me guys upsc ka syllabus hi apne aap me itna bada hai ki aapki puri ek graduation ho skti hai 3 saal ki .. believe me...
Next thing is...ki 1st attempt dene se pehle 2.5-3 yrs plzzz jee jaan lgakr padh lena...
Coaching se better hai mentor rkh lena...
Or pre tbhi dena jb mains ka syllabus atleast 80% kr liya ho with answer writing...
Nd yes...100000% dene ka calibre rkho...uske baad sb kuch upar wale pe chhodh do ..bcoz vacancy jitni hai utne hi bachche jayenge andr...

Toppers me starting ke 10-20 topper nd last ke 10-20 toppers ke alawa sbke sb kahi na kahi source lgakr hi jaa rhe hai andr....
Nd one of the most underrated reality is....
Ki toppers ka season sirf 3-4 mahine chalta hai bcoz last 2 yrs me top 10 me kon kon toppers the ye kisiko yaad nahi Hai aaj ke time pe...😅

Agar har student 1st attempt dene se pehle 2-3 saal ki padhai kar le along with 80% syllabus + Answer writing then uska toh 1st ya 2nd attempt me clear hona toh bilkul fixed h but there are students jinhone last attempt me bhi clear kiya with decent rank (not an exception)
UPSC is all about persistence,determination and hard+smart work
I appreciate your thoughts but don't jump to conclusions👍
@@cartoonera-fy9mo First of all don't watch variety of videos available on youtube for distractions
Just clear your concepts first by heart & soul and stick to the syllabus with PYQ from the onset
Read NCERTs and basic books atleast 2 times and prepare crisp notes with mains perspective along with 3rd reading for quick revision
Prepare for mocks and test from anywhere in the country and expect questions from every sentence of the books
Always remember this exam is a marathon not a race.

What people realize at 35 you realize early
Bahut kuch sikhene ko mila iss video se.
I am 20 and started my prep bcz of my parents.
I literally don't want to get in this rat race instead want to become writer.
Unko samjhaya but they aren't ready to understand.
Sometime i feel stuck in between thier expectations and my dream.
I told them till 25yrs i will prepare after that i want to live my life , the way i want.
I hope ki wo ye baat samjhe.
Pls give some suggestions on this

You are lucky bro,there are lakh of student who crossed their age 35-40 after upsc they go for pcs of many states after repeated failure they come in deep depression, they can't go their home because of society,their merriage not took place...

People clears even after lot of attempts. Can you say earlier they didn't have the aptitude?
To be very honest didi me apne har ek decision me apne mentor my physics teacher se consult krti thi kyuki muje ye lagta hai ki agar me sirf apne point of view se sochu to sayad me baised ho skti hu isliye me unke saath ek roughly discussion krna prefer krti thi pr kbhi kbhi ye lagta ki kya tu khud apne decision nhi le skti kya situation ko tu handle nhi kr skti pr aaj aapki baato ko sun kr me ye to samj gyi ki kisi ke saath apne opinion share krne or unke perspective ko sunne ka mtlb ye nhi aap khud kuch nhi kr skte iska mtlb hai ki aap vo ek honest reply chahte ho jisse aap biased na ho jaye so thank you so much didi ❤

Almost the similar situation is with my sister who is in her final year of graduation n my family wants her to prepare for upsc in which i believe her aptitude doesn't supports her at all and I suggest her to go for psychology where she can do much better as per her aptitude.
N at this stage its very difficult to make your family members understand the same.

See mam I am agree with you that in india there is a misunderstanding about counsellor but if you talked about future potential then it is a dynamic concept right !! You judge a person future potential by checking the past !! what if he/she is change ourselves in 8 months ?
See Sir I have explained aptitude in psychological terms ..and Aptitude does not change so rapidly and it is often said in Psychology that aptitude can never be changed( controversial)
One more thing, I am not judging anybody. How would I judge anybody by sharing my journey .....

Very happy.
Changes in upsc is need of the hour. People from humanities background going into services like IRS and then getting fired by govt.
And one thing about aptitude. Most of the people only want to join IAS because of the obvious reasons. And when they land into some other services like IFS or irs their life get hell. Think about a person who don't know accounting or taxation [ex.humanities background guy] into revenue services or accounts and audit services. Kya aptitude check kara upsc ne 🤣
And second thing competition in India is a real thing. Jitni dedication se koi india me pdhai krega utni dedication se Europe me ya khi or kre to bureaucrat ban hi jayega.
One more thing, I think life of a professor is much more fulfilling.
Like work life bala. Fixed hours of job. No political pressure. Fixed city. Salary is decent.

I gave my first attempt in 2023 but couldn't clear.. I think I was in a rat race at that time.. as all of my friends were preparing for the same... then I decided to not give another attemt until I get a job with handsome salary.. recently I take cgl mains... hope it will clear...

Mentor is required for JEE or IAS in every case. That is not available in our society

There is a huge difference between interest and aptitude bcz having an interest is just the beginning of something but what most people lacks is aptitude including me
From this vdo i have finally realise it or i can say is the realisation is from a very long time but i m

It ok to leave any prep for any exam when you have a realisation that that particular exam is not for you but people take it as a ego how can i leave what will my family and friends will thing about mee etc etc

What i have realise is ca is not for mee and i am not a loose it just that i have made some horrible decision that’s result in poor mental health waste of college life
I don’t have idea about my interest and aptitude anymore trying to figure it out soo an honest experience of mine may help atleast one person may give me some satisfaction that my constant failure dispute being serious may help someone to take a second thought abt their own carrer decision

What if i have the aptitude of CSE ....i asked my biggest critic , my teacher and he told me that i have the aptitude.
Which was your optional? I am thinking of Psychology optional, is it good? I am graduate in psychology.
I am not an expert..but what I can tell you is each optional subject has its own pros and cons. There is nothing bad in Psychology.
See whether you have enough study material or coaching available, interest in the subject and so on ...
I would recommend asking a mentor who has cleared a few stages of this exam especially mains.

Shrif es duniya mein Civil services hi job nahi hai aap life main es se aur accha kar sakte hai dusra field main. Ho sakta hai ki bhagwan aapko dusra work ke liye es duniya main aapko bheja ho. Esliye bahut sare logo ko pata nahi hai oo kya karna chahte hai. Esliye aap dil chota mat karo. Aapko jis main aaccha lage wahi karo.

Didi i can tell you where your interest lies "SOCIAL MEDIA" and for clearing UPSC you have to balance all and which is what expected for this paper, look at others like who had very bad background but still they had courage to ignore their internal conflicts , WHAT I CAN CONCLUD IF I MAY YOU STILL HAVE GOOD OPTIONS FOR YOUR CAREER AND YOU ARE HIDDING FROM DOING HARDWORK AND BURNING YOUR MID NIGHT OIL.
