Hey guys, I never went to the doctors when I broke my thumb years ago. Finally on Monday I'm going to see a doctor for my unhealed injury. I play guitar and lost alot of strength. I have pain and swelling, weakness, and arthritis in my hand. It caused major depression because I cannot play music right. I hope I can get a surgery to fix it.

Hello. I suffered the Rolando's fracture in my right hand (I´m right handed). Only 3 pins were use to hold the fragments in place, no plate was applied, and they didn't cut me open to do this procedure. The 3 pins are being removed by the next Feb 22nd.
My question is: Once the fracture is healed, will the bone be weak? Am I going to loose a lot of movement? Are there going to be activities that I will not be able to perform?
I am an Art Teacher, Artist and I love to workout.

Dude I never healed mine years later. I'm about to try to go get a late surger on Monday. Horrible thing if you don't fix I have lost grip strength and I can't play guitar as well now.
