- 5509 got a chance to talk with Walnut Creek, Calif. band The Story So Far before their Cobalt Cafe show on July 9. The band talked about some of their influences, Tim McGraw, their new album and an upcoming tour in Japan.

Pop Punk is good. But The Story So Far is outstanding, they just have these fucking beautiful riffs that are put in this order and tempo that make you feel so chill. Thank you for making music that gets me excited to listen to every morning.
For real though!! Definitely one of thee most underrated pop punk bands ever and deserve a whole lot more attention around the music scene. We need MORE bands like TSSF!

Surprised to hear third eye blind, gotta love it. Very underrated
I have so much respect for Parker and the rest of the group. They’re so underrated. TSSF is the only band I feel such a strong connection to. They share a very unique style of music, mostly driven with anger. I relate a lot to their music and they’re all down to earth and just amazing. They definitely deserve more recognition and respect.

RYAN TORF is such a good drummer...
He has a Straight Edge sticker on his thermos, so yeah he is Edge. But, that doesn't matter, they make fucking amazing music.

They're not all in this video. Dude in the middle is a touring drummer for Ryan Torf their main drummer. Parker on vox. Will Levy and Kevin Geyer on guitars. Kelen Capener on bass. Listen to TSSF man their the shit.

Who cares if they're edge or not? They make the same type of music as edge bands. I'm personally not edge but I still attend shows and I respect everyones lifestyle. I'm friends with kids who don't drink or smoke who don't like to label themselves as "edge" because they feel like it's almost an embarrassment because they are open to everyones lifestyle and choices. They know I smoke and they are fine with it and they know I would never pressure them to do it. Can't we just respect everyone?
