ACC is definitely available, but it's gated behind Lariat. A lot of people will get Lariat just for that if you drive a lot. It's pushed XLT out of the sweetspot for me.
Listen, I just want something that makes decent gas mileage, decently nice interior, can throw the mountain bikes / snowboards / kayaks in, and able to tow a tear drop. Maverick NAILS it. This isn't a vehicle for hauling farm work, it's for the outdoorsy people and small buisness fleets.
After waiting 1 year 5 months and two weeks, we took delivery of hot pepper red XLT luxury copilot 360 minus the bed liner. We have super happy with it. 75 mile commute high and country reds average 41 / 42 mpg. It fits two large Rad Rover e-bikes and a Bailey bike trailer in the back. Went to Yosemite Valley and had a great time. Zero Byers remorse. we have had it since February 2023 and have used it as intended way more than we ever expected to.
Finally graduating college this December and although I love my Jetta, I’ve always wanted a midsize type of pickup truck that wouldn’t break an arm and a leg. I’ve always wanted a Tacoma but don’t want those crazy prices. Even having this truck maxed out it comes out cheaper than all other midsize pickups AND the mpg are pure beauty. I know Toyota is known for reliability way more than ford is, but I do like to take care of my car and do my regular maintenance and love to wash it as well (I find it therapeutic haha)I’ll be looking into one of these once I get some money saved up and they’re hopefully in stock and most importantly, at MSRP. Hopefully I’ll have one around a year to a year and a half from now and I hope the car market prices plummet by then as well.
After almost a year of driving a 2023 Ford Maverick hybrid I am thrilled with driving it everyday. Fantastic mileage, excellent handling, get lots of looks on the road. Also I upgraded to add the letters in the tailgate and make the turn signals a little brighter and they go from white to orange so it has a little flare. Overall I would highly recommend this truck to anybody who wants a very dependable eye-catching and versatile vehicle. Especially if you ever need a bad to carry larger objects.
Just got a 23 hybrid lariot maverick for 30k new. Just retired. Dont do the same truck stuff i used to to so this works for me. The price and fuel savings are a plus. Great video
I ordered the same color hybrid Lariat with a towing package, but without the black out package or adaptive cruise control. I just got an email on July 15th that it will start production on the week of July 31st. I plan to put in a 3D printed phone holder in the dash.
I don't think ford understands just how many of these they'd sell if they just manufactured enough of them! We had one ordered and whrn it came in the dealer screwed us by wanting 10 grand more than the sticker and we simply walked away on it. They fortunately gave us back our deposit. The dealerships are screwing so many people! Hopefully ford can fix this problem.
Great Content on the Maverick Line-up. Seen all of yours. Keep it coming. Did I hear at the end you were going to do an off-road video with this Hybrid? Can't wait!!!!
In Canada, we cannot order a Lariat Hybrid. You can order a Lariat, but the extra features of the Lariat option packages are not available. The one I will miss the most are the rear parking sensors, which cannot be added to an XLT. I only had to wait 13 months to get mine (this Friday @11 it will be delivered). I wonder if a plug in hybrid will ever be offered in this model.
We placed our order for my son’s birthday gift from us in September 2022 and until now still waiting from our local L.A. Ford Dealership. He wanted it so badly! His next birthday is coming again, it’s on early November. 😢Please Marina Ford follow up and expedite for us.
Was hoping Ford would set up the drivetrain like the Rav4 hybrid. The Rav has the electric motor driving the back axle, and has a switch to drive both axles for 4x4.
No tac needed, its an ECVT, theres no gear changes, its essentially an electric transmission with all parts moving at once and can hypothetically create infinite gears. It simulates gear change in tow mode to assist with engine feel
Yeah, I'm going to have to reshearch the cvt transmission in the hybrid. My concern is longevity. I know the 2.5 l is a really good engine. We have a Ford Fusion with almost 300 thousand miles, and the engine is still running great and doesn't burn any oil at all. It's amazing. However, their transmissions are another story. We plan on pulling a small trailer with it and from what ive been told cvt transmissions don't like pulling weight at all. I don't understand this whole ,it's electric and has actual gears??? From what I know cvt transmissions have a band or a chain to turn the transmission.
It was 2021 due to pandemic I saw record low oil production investment, and was driving downtown in an inefficient vechicle, wanted something for work around the house/yardwork(bags of dirt wood etc). Then they announced a hybrid truck that took up about as much space as my sedan, got twice the gas mileage and had tons of utility. Ordering the first month was best decision I've made lately. And yes I have the copilot 360 assist adaptive and lane assist isn't super useful in the city, but on long road trips it's practically self driving. Got soft cover bed cover but if I stored anything I'd suggest the hard cover rollup. Oh and have the same velocity blue as you. :)
How would this be long term tho, some people wont touch a ford. I have ordered a hybrid camry, this isnt all that much more. Id be tempted but of course you know what u get with a toyota
I still can’t believe ford doesn’t offer fog/ driving lights in the bottom around the front bumper??? Almost every car/ truck has them , great video keep up the good work
If you could only actually freaking get one. I ordered a Hybrid Lariat in September of last year and still no build date in sight. I ran out of patience and just bought a Jeep Gladiator Willys edition yesterday. Ford dealerships are price gouging everyone with these asking as high as $50k for an XLT. Ford lost any chance of ever having me as a customer for the rest of my life, screw Ford.
Yeah, having to order ahead is a negative if you need something now, I think I waited 8 months. But the nice thing is you can lock in your price, dealership shouldn't change it on you later, it's only the order like yours you cancelled that they can then resell for 20k over msrp.
I'm loving these mid-size trucks. Just not the price on some. Still happy with my Ford Explorer Sport Trac V8.... Now when the prices drop cause dealers can't sale🤔. Now we can talk on something new.
The most fuel efficient truck *in the US market*. The US market is not the world. There are more efficient utes available outside the US. Half a dozen Chinese brand EV & PHEV utes, for a start.
How are you measuring efficiency? We would have to run some math again with current electricity rates and fuel costs, but keep in mind that the lightning (as far as EVs go) is not efficient. Depending on how you measure efficient, the hybrid Maverick is more efficient.
Charging everyday for ur electrical is not only time consuming but also costly. U have to plan ur trip carefully around charging stations too not to mention people fighting over the chargers everywhere. Maverick is the way to go.
I want to buy a new truck so I check out the Tacoma TRD sport Ford Ranger all these trucks come with that goofy-looking four-door and a tiny little five foot bed. I wish these companies would make an access cab with a 6ft bed. I have a Tacoma SR5 with the access cab it's a 2007. But all the new trucks come with the goofy ugly looking for door
Even though the XL version is more efficient than the lariat and the atlas blue is by far the worst color on the mavericks. Iconic silver or alto blue for the win. My XL doesn’t have push open, it comes with a button as well
First year XL didn’t come with cruise control but it’s a plug n play. Now all Maverick trims come with cruise control. As stated, only lariat can come with adaptive cruise control.
It's cheaper than almost every other truck out there, maybe the cheapest. I ordered mine fully loaded for $35k, but I could have gotten the SL for $10 or 15k less!
this is my dream car, I'm tired of pickups getting bigger and bigger in cities and suburbs , crowding out the streets and parking lots
This truck is refreshing.
amen brutha
Mind blown. Who TF is asking for bigger trucks?
I have an Isuzu pickup with a motor swap and it's the best.
liberal logic making sense for once
@@V-Peeokay?
Got my hybrid XLT in june, best truck I've owned yet. I love getting 50+ mpg commuting to work
You can get adaptive cruise control. It requires the copilot 360 assist package.
It requires copilot 360 and lariat trim
@@titomo8241not true. Lariat only. Copilot 180 in the other trims

I just received my 2023 Maverick Lariat w/ Lux package 3 weeks ago. Love it so far. I placed my order in Oct 2021.
Great review guys. My Maverick XLT Hybrid is finally in production! It will be 600 days since my original order in October 2021 before I receive it.
600 days is insane! We are so sorry you have had to wait this long. That being said, the Maverick is awesome.

I have a hybrid xlt. It's my favorite vehicle I have ever owned and I have had everything from mustang GTs to Jeeps..
Impossible to get one around here! And mark up is insane!
We hate that! Same here for us in DFW.
Best review I have seen on the Maverick!

Love my 2022 maverick xlt lux hybrid. Well worth the 15 month wait
23 Hybrid XLT Lux here. The Lux is the cold weather stuff. I think my build is the most optimal.
We too prefer the XLT Lux.
Great video, this looks like a fantastic truck
Thanks! It sure is.
Hello from Nova Scotia Canada 🇨🇦. I just found your channel and am a subscriber!!! I love your content and agree 💯 %,the Maverick is a true winner!!

Nice review. I got one on order that I'll never probably receive. 🙄
Freaking hate that!
I felt the same way but nearly 12 months to the day It arrived.
Thanks for posting I guess we need reviews of mattress with 60 80,000 MI
Thanks for the review!

My 2007 prius has keyless entry just like that. Also Ram trucks have had that for years. No need to press the button.
but the mark-up and waiting time are crazy!
when Honda and Toyota launch theirown compact truck ?!
Honda already has the Ridgeline it just comes with a Fullsize price tag

My Car Scanner app shows 249 ft lbs of combined torque with this powertrain combination in the Escape hybrid with this engine/trans.

How does this fwd Maverick ride versus the awd models you've driven?
Went to look at this exact truck at my closest dealer just 15 mins away. It was sold though 😢
I love this truck.

Is adaptive cruise only on the Lariat?
@ga2031 should be available add on for all models the copilot package iirc.
Can't wait for mine June 20rh

Is the hybrid better for hualing an adventure motorcycle, or should i consider the awd.

For a 2024 Maverick - Is the 2.0 engine with 8 speed automatic usually a bit quicker to special order?
i belive so. I ordered a 24 lariat hybrid on 11/07/23 and the build date is currently 01/08/2024
I think a single cab version would be great.
