Saw Nigel Clark perform an acoustic set last night. He duetted on this (and a couple of other tracks) with Chris Helme from The Seahorses. It was absolutely stunning. This song had passed from my memory (must be my age) but the acoustic arrangement brought it back to life spectacularly.
What a marvelous song! Three post-adolescents immerse themselves in a chroma key setup in their room, eagerly anticipating the phone's ring (if only for a moment). The ending perfectly suits this Freudian nightmare-epic! It's one of my top 30 songs, ones I'd choose to be buried with in a nuclear bunker. It's a delightful loop to listen to, and I wholeheartedly agree with all of you; it's vastly underrated.
I dedicated this masterpiece to my dear mum mutter MNJF aka PR, 13-11-1949 07h 07-2-2024, 15h08, but she is alive on my heart for eternity, forever, who's listening this anthem on 2025 and so on?
Cant believe I'm only finally getting to see these boys on Saturday! Long time fan of the album. It's one of those that I just play from the start and let it run. Not a bad track on there! Wish I could remember the name of the support band that lived in the flat next door to us on the high street in Ruislip. I'd love to know how they got on and where they ended up.
My big brother had this album on tape. I listened to this album so much. Constant flipping sides. God knows i loved this song so much. Felt the drumming was amazing at the time. Looking back Matt priest looks like he’s about to play darts in that shirt 😂
big doctors appointment tomorrow, mental health problems,i was flat out in 96 when I seen them at the phoenix festival, completely out of my mind, with a good friend who sadly took his own life three years ago.ONE HELL OF A BLOKE MARK TREHARNE R.I.P. MY GOOD FRIEND,BE IT HEAVEN OR HELL !!!! HE WILL FIND IT FUNNY,REGARDLESS !!!
i cant understand why anyone would dislike like this unless of course they are ameoba brained by-products of animal buggery that like 'sp'garage' or dubstep
Yeah, Nigel really carried on the Beatles flag. But the long spaces between the different sections are more Who-ish (for example: 0:56). Apart from his intens solo, I love Andy's rhythm guitar playing (take the syncopic patterns on 1:02). By the way, the video is beautiful and mighty.
one of my fave of the album ...but ...my favourite "One of those Rivers" is impossible to hear and find on youtube... i had the album but i lost it one year ago... Thanx for the video ...it's the 1st time that i see it
The most underrated song ever.
The most overrated phrase is underrated. It’s fantastic. That’s it.
Spent many a night crying and looking out the window to this one in the 90s!
Seems these 90s gems are in the vaults 63k views from 13yrs..criminal

For me, the most underrated band of the Britpop era.
Underated is an overrated word
Best song they ever did. Still loving this in 2020 under lock down.

God still sounds as good as it did back then
Townsend all over that playing and solo. Beautiful stuff.
I cannot understand why this video has so few views. It is absolutely stunning - almost impossible not to at least tap along to!
Perfection.

I'm the only one who know this song and allowed to enjoy it, go away.

Literally said this to my wife 30 seconds ago!
I've figured enough out for now but I don't get the sympathy or understanding I deserve!.
I think about you but because as much as they've tried to stop this prophecy attempt they try and force it... Where's my carma police?'
Please let me know
Self doubt is what they've tried to force on me even when I won the prize!
Not a fan but this is a good song
#horrorshow
