It is so easy to turn on a screen. We listen and see..its passive. READING the Bible requires more action. Meditating, praying -- it's intentional action too. Hearing comes by faith. We do Faith( read etc) actively..our flesh is affected. Love the "older one" submits to the "new one". I can talk to The Lord ..He talks thru the Word/Is the Word. There is the power...the spirit. I might not feel 100%...but speaking Gets my spirit running up the stairs

I am a Christian and believe Jesus is the son of God and I am saved by grace alone and I am trying to live a godly/holy life. I guard my eyes and don't watch secular entertainment anymore and I don't listen to secular music either. I read my Bible, tithe, go to church and read the Bible every day, however I feel a very strong urge to put on Joel Osteen or just live in a more "free" way via meditation, etc. I do not intend to leave my faith but I don't understand why I have these feelings. They started about 4 years ago. It's a terrible feeling as Paul said he doesn't know why he does the things he knows he shouldn't, etc.
