You may have a hard time getting this to work because this box does not have the DRM support for premium streaming services. Also depending on which region you live in you will also be limited because some of the services only work with in the US region. I live outside of the US so sling TV and TH-cam TV doesn't work in my region.

For UK users, I had to reject this box as would not run ITV Hub app. Apparently, manufacturer does not have licence. I found box slow in general compared to my TX6.
Like you said....they hope the price of $29 attract people....the All Winner Chip has been the worst performer for years...you think they try to do better....Amlogic has a lock on these boxes...

Por lo que me ha descrito, parece que hay un problema definitivo con el firmware. También puede haber un problema con la protección de Google Play que puede bloquear y eliminar aplicaciones que consideran ilegales pero que aún se instalan en su sistema operativo. He visto que Google Play protege, elimina o desinstala aplicaciones que consideran dañinas. No estoy diciendo que este sea el problema, pero existe una gran posibilidad de que hayan aumentado el escaneo y la detección de APK de terceros en los últimos meses. Entonces, para verificar si esto es así, abra Google Play Store, ingrese al área de configuración, verifique la protección de Google Play y vea si ha puesto en cuarentena alguna de las aplicaciones que está tratando de ejecutar. El otro problema posible es que hay un error en el firmware que se puede solucionar con una actualización de firmware. The play store is limited. Meaning they used the wrong version (Open GAPPS mini/pico/full/etc.) It appears they used the limited version instead of full.

Open Google chrome search, download, and install Aptoide. On the home screen scroll down until you see the Netflix app click on it and install. There will be ads, be patient and X off in the top right corner to close ads when you can. Finish installing Netflix allowing any permissions for Aptoide that pops up. Same can be done using the APKpure app store.
The truth is there is no answer to that. The reason being you can have a fiber optic Internet service over 500 Mbps and still get the buffering, because buffering is heavily dependent on the speed of the source of where the stream is coming from. So if you are watching a movie and the server you are feeling from as a very low Internet connection, and multiple persons are trying to stream from that one connection it will buffer continuously regardless of your speed. So that's why services such as Netflix, and TH-cam do not buffer, because these companies spend millions of dollars on high quality servers that can distribute feeds throughout the entire world on very fast upload speeds. So let's say your Internet connection is below 30 Mbps, if you login to TH-cam or Netflix you will not have any buffering.

Sorry so late for the reply...but that didn't do anything. I live here in the states so I run on U.S time. Texas to b exact, the clocks on the tv display r consistent as well as with Kodi...my problem is the digital, blue numbered clock that displays on the x96Q display...it stays on 24 he time. Right now as I type this, it's 10:27pm, but my box displays 22:27??
The old version of the Google Play Store, many applications cannot be downloaded .. And the Playstore cannot be updated to the latest version, so it is very difficult .. Please upgrade ota to update the Playstore to the latest version.

Hi - just got one of these but I cannot get it to update. I got signed in on my wifi, but it cannot connect to the google store or to firmware update. What to do? Can I perhaps download the new firmware to usb and flash from there? But I cannot see anywhere where to look for it. Is there a homepage for the device or something?
OK so here is what you do. Open Chrome you don't have to login into your account. Go to APKPure website and download and install it. Open APKpure. Open the settings hamburger menu top right corner. See if is has a PlayStore update and update it. Allow permissions for APKpure to install from unknown sources when the popup presents itself. Once Google or Google play services updates restart the box. This may solve your problem as I am seeing it happening frequently recently. You can also install this app Play services Info from APKpure or Aptoide - Recomendaría el modelo Dynalink ya que tiene más opciones para transmitir en él. Open it click on the first Google play banner and it will try to direct you to Google play services update page.

Yes you will, I though you already did that? Also install VLC player and set audio to audio passthrough in the settings area, it is a better Surround sound and 4K player than Kodi. Kodi can't play 4K format .ts

Sorry but there is no one but the manufacturer can fix that issue. Or possibly a firmware update to which there is none at this time. I am really not a fan of these Allwinner models.

1. Check if the TV box volume is up, use stock remote. 2. Check under settings Device preferences, under audio settings and ensure it is set to HDMI. 3. Disable all CEC options in the settings area

Try that box on another TV to confirm. If the the same results change the HDMI cable. Sometimes the cable is broken inside. If still nothing then the box is faulty.
Gio forget Allwinner CPU models and focus on S905X3, S922X, S922X-H, S905Y2, and the Latest S905X4. As I told another viewer, stop looking at the "Android 10" it's a distraction. Android 10 means nothing on TV boxes compared the Android 9 Pie, there is not benefit or superior features to gain. Android 9 is still good and most of the good hardware are running on it. If you want wait for more S905X4 models to release in a couple months time.
Then look at A95X F3 RGB, TOX1, HK1 Box, HK1 X3, Vontar X3, Magicsee N5 Max to start. Low cost! you will get what you pay for, spend around $40 and get a better box. Trust me, don't buy crap and then regret it.
These apps were meant to run on cellphones with sim and a number connected to it along with carrier information and built-in camera. The play store will not allow the app on a TV box as it is not compatible.
@@tvboxstop That is inaccurate, you can run all these Apps on devices without Sim or Phone number, most especially Zoom. I've run WhatsApp and Viber from Android Tablets which don't have a SIM card, and Viber will pop a message on your main device to activate it.
Hi friend, you may be tempted to purchase this model based on the fact that it's running on Android 10 and you may be getting it at a lower price. But in my humble opinion, I wouldn't recommend that you purchase this model especially if you are aiming for performance, at an affordable price. There is no difference between Android 10 and Android 9 in these TV boxes, so there's no benefits to gain by going for Android 10. With that said I suggest you go with an Amlogic S905X3 model that has all the unique features, great performance at an affordable price. And a TV box that may fit right into that category is the A95X F3 RGB. There are other models I can recommend that you if you mind telling me what's your budget range.

I just figured it out. My Remote has a kd button. When I push it and hold it inside kd player it mutes, and unmutes. Pretty sure it is not intended, but it works.
@@tvboxstop I think your Rank Chart shows that there are only 2 CPU's that can compete, X1 and 922. Everything else is just slow. You have to look at the CPU first and understand, nearly all models after that cannot compete.

there is an option in the settings of this box to turn off tv when you turn off the box. Don't turn it ON.

You don't get over heating from playing 4K videos, mostly gaming.

Install FX file explorer from the Play Store. Once installed browse to Main drive/Android/Downloads. Long press to select file/s and select downloads.

Android 5.1.1 is not recommend, some Apps may not be compatible. TH-cam for sure will have issues.

I have purchase this box but it's not showing 4k videos only showing 1080p only
Check the display settings to see what resolution it is set to. Also you must have a 4K TV connected to the box for the 4K options to appear.

Go into language settings and change it rom US English to UK English and the click will now show in 12 hr time

Hi - just got one of these but I cannot get it to update. I got signed in on my wifi, but it cannot connect to the google store or to firmware update. What to do? Can I perhaps download the new firmware to usb and flash from there? But I cannot see anywhere where to look for it. Is there a homepage for the device or something?
OK so here is what you do.
Open Chrome you don't have to login into your account.
Go to APKPure website and download and install it.
Open APKpure.
Open the settings hamburger menu top right corner.
See if is has a PlayStore update and update it.
Allow permissions for APKpure to install from unknown sources when the popup presents itself.
Once Google or Google play services updates restart the box.
This may solve your problem as I am seeing it happening frequently recently.
You can also install this app Play services Info from APKpure or Aptoide - Recomendaría el modelo Dynalink ya que tiene más opciones para transmitir en él.
Open it click on the first Google play banner and it will try to direct you to Google play services update page.
@@tvboxstop thnx alot for your reply. I got the 2 apps installed.. I can update most of the apps in APKPure - all but the google store haha! Same in Aptoide. however - I did get the box to connect to check for firmware upadet - there were no updates it seems.
but man it is hard to navigate through the menues, text inputs and such with only the remote... can I connect a mouse or even a wireless combined keyboard/mouse? I still need to fint the best way to watch my stuff from my NAS server - but I hope I can figure it out. thnx alot for your help so far. I appreciate it!

I bought the Tanix TX6S that is basically the same specs as yours. It lags on most of games. And it freezes on some apps. My other TV Box with an older Mali-450 still runs better. So, I sold it.😅

It should work there is no harm in trying it. If it doesn't just uninstall it. The box is rooted so anything will install.

I opened kodi , set passthrough, but only 2 channels, maybe this is related with the settings for tv box: because accoording to the message from sellers, I didn't set pass through on tv box, if I set up it, I might get 5.1.
Yes you will, I though you already did that? Also install VLC player and set audio to audio passthrough in the settings area, it is a better Surround sound and 4K player than Kodi. Kodi can't play 4K format .ts

Does anyone have issues with this TV Box and Kodi? Almost all content on Kodi lags and stutters and is really slow on the box. Works normally on my PC and smartphone.
Allwinner models have all kinds of issues, biggest of them overheating and low performance.

Sorry but there is no one but the manufacturer can fix that issue. Or possibly a firmware update to which there is none at this time. I am really not a fan of these Allwinner models.

ADW launcher 2 works you have to sideload it. The alternative navigation bar does not work.

No it doesn't. But sometimes on the product page they give you the option to purchase with and a mouse if you like.

Android TV OS Play store is different and very limited compared to the regular play store you have on your phone.

1. Check if the TV box volume is up, use stock remote.
2. Check under settings Device preferences, under audio settings and ensure it is set to HDMI.
3. Disable all CEC options in the settings area

Try that box on another TV to confirm. If the the same results change the HDMI cable. Sometimes the cable is broken inside. If still nothing then the box is faulty.

Gio forget Allwinner CPU models and focus on S905X3, S922X, S922X-H, S905Y2, and the Latest S905X4. As I told another viewer, stop looking at the "Android 10" it's a distraction. Android 10 means nothing on TV boxes compared the Android 9 Pie, there is not benefit or superior features to gain. Android 9 is still good and most of the good hardware are running on it. If you want wait for more S905X4 models to release in a couple months time.

These apps were meant to run on cellphones with sim and a number connected to it along with carrier information and built-in camera. The play store will not allow the app on a TV box as it is not compatible.
@@tvboxstop That is inaccurate, you can run all these Apps on devices without Sim or Phone number, most especially Zoom. I've run WhatsApp and Viber from Android Tablets which don't have a SIM card, and Viber will pop a message on your main device to activate it.

I am not sure, if Thop requires DRM and HDCP to run then you may have a problem. If not then the app will run just fine.

Hi friend, you may be tempted to purchase this model based on the fact that it's running on Android 10 and you may be getting it at a lower price. But in my humble opinion, I wouldn't recommend that you purchase this model especially if you are aiming for performance, at an affordable price. There is no difference between Android 10 and Android 9 in these TV boxes, so there's no benefits to gain by going for Android 10. With that said I suggest you go with an Amlogic S905X3 model that has all the unique features, great performance at an affordable price. And a TV box that may fit right into that category is the A95X F3 RGB. There are other models I can recommend that you if you mind telling me what's your budget range.

I just figured it out. My Remote has a kd button. When I push it and hold it inside kd player it mutes, and unmutes. Pretty sure it is not intended, but it works.

@@tvboxstop I think your Rank Chart shows that there are only 2 CPU's that can compete, X1 and 922. Everything else is just slow. You have to look at the CPU first and understand, nearly all models after that cannot compete.
