I believe that this was at the end of a 75-80 set where they ALL were basically going non-stop. And for the girls, especially Su-Metal, to maintain that energy AND to retain that vocal quality - at their age - is just insane. Yeah...I want to go and see them too. In 2023 and I might just get than chance in a few minutes.
Always gets me that three young ladies can own an audience of 20,000 people like that (and remember they have gone indoor concerts for 55,000 people - ignoring the outdoor festivals). This video dates from 2015 when Yui/Moa would still have been 15 and Su just turned 17. And look at how Sumetal has such total stage presence and control. No yelling at the crowd what to do, just looks and arm movements.
LOVE IT how the song starts out slow and pulsing, then when the music kicks into quadruple drive, any open areas of the audience become swirling mosh pits!!! LOVE IT!!!!

The song is very motivational for me. It's About going your own way in life no matter what and that you have to believe into yourself. To be on an BM concert is also very exhausting for the fans. It's an emotional rolercoster, physically exhausting and 2 days after the concert you will get the post BM concert blues .The "see you" at the end of the concerts always floores me..for me it's their finishing move.:D If you are Looking for a "darker" song, i would say try a Rondo of Nightmare th-cam.com/video/QxYAcIyk2Co/w-d-xo.html . Great reaction - and I agree, this is such a great performance and I love watching people experience it for the first time, yet even though RoR is a great song there are others I like even more. I feel somewhat sad for people who've only discovered Babymetal now, since Babymetal, at least the one we knew, is done. But it was a fun ride these last five or six years. With Yui Mizuno retiring because of health reasons (personally, I think she took the untimely death of guitarist Mikio Fujioka particularly hard), if Babymetal continues, it will probably be with new members, so a different Babymetal. Also, Suzuka Nakamoto (21) and Moa Kikuchi (19) have grown up, which in the Japanese music business means they ship you off to the old folks home. Kind of how nothing good will last forever. So, for something new and different, check out BAND-MAID, although they've been around for about four years. Particularly their MV's "Dice", "Choose Me" and "Domination". As for live versions, "Puzzle", "Take Me Higher" and "Play". All the members are solid and lead guitarist Kanami and bassist Misa are maniacs.
@@martinmetal7481 Yes, Band-Maid are all in their mid-twenties (Saiki is the youngest at 23, Miku the oldest having just turned 27), but Band-Maid doesn't fit the idol model. They're musicians, not singer-dancers, and can have quite long careers if they can keep it up. For example, music legends like Yumi Matsutoya and Miyuki Nakajima both started in their early 20's and have kept it going for decades and are both in their 60's now. Some who started out as idols, like Shoko Aida of Wink or Seiko Matsuda can repurpose themselves and keep a career going for a long time.

If you think about it babymetal opened the door for other bands from Japan. Don't Wright them off yet.

I saw them in dallas and it made me sad, they hadn't announced the departure of yui and had two back up dancers took her place. it was a 40 minute show and painful ... the last few shows in melbourne and singapore seem to have given them more life. They are more together now .. thank you Koba Meat and hopefully Saya Metal ..

Haha, you are going down the fox hole fast. I always love to see people fall for them. :-) I think in Japan using phones during concerts is not allowed. I found it a pretty hard decision whether to record or not. I did want to have something to remember it by, especially since I was pretty close to the stage. But I also wanted to enjoy the crowd, of course. So in the end I recorded four or five clips of 10-20s. But those were not during the times when there was the most action, because that's when you don't want to be standing there holding up a phone (like during this song). What really separates BABYMETAL from the rest of metal is that "Major" happiness you mention. Overall, there is a joy and positivity from the band that you don't get anywhere else. Somehow BABYMETAL has managed to get me emotionally involved in the band. I'm secure enough to admit that I cried when hearing of Mikio's death and later of Yui leaving the band. They just pull you in. You're done if you actually start looking into their roots in Sakura Gakuin. You'll be more than "hooked." BTW- I seem to have misread you, as you said you like darker music. Try "Sis Anger" instead of my earlier suggestions. Their only Black Metal song. It's hard as fuck! You'll have to get the link from DailyMotion , since you won't find a good version on TH-cam. About your 100 subscribers, I do think you picked at least 2 bands Jinjer and Babymetal which both have fans who search out for new reactors, they seem to be more actively looking for that than a lot of other bands. Well, probably Nightwish fans are also high on that list. The girls, (ladies now) are exhausted, but they have a trick to take a rest, there are solo songs by the main singer and duo songs by the 2 other girls/ladies. So the other(s) can take a short rest. This song was the last song of the set and as you can see the intro and the use of the walk way are both moments they could take a rest. Japanese people are less likely to go against rules, regulations and laws. And phones are not allowed to be used to record shows. Rondo of Nightmare is darker and you can do a reaction to it like this, but songs like Sis. Anger is even heavier. But you can't include the video on your video, all the videos of it are not on TH-cam because of copyright reasons. Sis. Anger is still sold at a high price on DVD/Bluray. At least compared to Budokan, which a lot of people mean when they mention Rondo of Nightmare. So if you want to Sis. Anger, you'll need to do: ask viewer to open the video you want to react to in a separate window or browser tab and do a countdown to start at the same time. What is good about it, less editing to do for you ! ;-)

@@kilbridemeredith8742 Every thing was off. Worst of it was not advertising the change when they knew far ahead of time that Yui was away. I hope all is well and Yui makes her self known at some time. A few shows after the start of a tour is not acceptable when fans are paying out of pocket for all of "Babymetal"

I think in Japan using phones during concerts is not allowed. I found it a pretty hard decision whether to record or not. I did want to have something to remember it by, especially since I was pretty close to the stage. But I also wanted to enjoy the crowd, of course. So in the end I recorded four or five clips of 10-20s. But those were not during the times when there was the most action, because that's when you don't want to be standing there holding up a phone (like during this song).

What really separates BABYMETAL from the rest of metal is that "Major" happiness you mention. Overall, there is a joy and positivity from the band that you don't get anywhere else. Somehow BABYMETAL has managed to get me emotionally involved in the band. I'm secure enough to admit that I cried when hearing of Mikio's death and later of Yui leaving the band. They just pull you in. You're done if you actually start looking into their roots in Sakura Gakuin. You'll be more than "hooked."
BTW- I seem to have misread you, as you said you like darker music. Try "Sis Anger" instead of my earlier suggestions. Their only Black Metal song. It's hard as fuck! You'll have to get the link from DailyMotion , since you won't find a good version on TH-cam. You'll also have to mute the audio and do a countdown. The link:

About your 100 subscribers, I do think you picked at least 2 bands Jinjer and Babymetal which both have fans who search out for new reactors, they seem to be more actively looking for that than a lot of other bands. Well, probably Nightwish fans are also high on that list.
The girls, (ladies now) are exhausted, but they have a trick to take a rest, there are solo songs by the main singer and duo songs by the 2 other girls/ladies. So the other(s) can take a short rest. This song was the last song of the set and as you can see the intro and the use of the walk way are both moments they could take a rest.
Japanese people are less likely to go against rules, regulations and laws. And phones are not allowed to be used to record shows.
Rondo of Nightmare is darker and you can do a reaction to it like this, but songs like Sis. Anger is even heavier. But you can't include the video on your video, all the videos of it are not on TH-cam because of copyright reasons. Sis. Anger is still sold at a high price on DVD/Bluray. At least compared to Budokan, which a lot of people mean when they mention Rondo of Nightmare.
So if you want to Sis. Anger, you'll need to do: ask viewer to open the video you want to react to in a separate window or browser tab and do a countdown to start at the same time. What is good about it, less editing to do for you ! ;-)

We now have Babymetal II , which pales in comparison.
I think I will give them bit more time before counting them out. yes Yui has left and Mikio has died but I think they still have it and will always support them and Yui in whatever she does next.
