Janella Salvador (the girl who sang Moana's theme song) was one of the five Asian singers selected by Walt Disney Studios Southeast Asia to officially make a cover of the song How Far I'll Go. However, her version got too much traction that it got restricted and not made available in the US. Janella Salvador's version currently have 49M views.

Janella Salvador of "Moana" is an impressive singer within the genre of R&B. She's passionate and impactful singing "off-beat" songs yet she is also incredibly provoking in the Disney songs. She really wasn't given that chance to be recognized with regard to her singing career, yet her exposures were more focused on acting. Star Music of ABS-CBN didn't put more effort into her singing promotional ads but on telenovelas where she is a potential money maker. Singing runs in her blood, where she is a genetic product of parents who are both singers in different musical genres. Her mother, Janine Desiderio was one of the key players, playing as Kim of Lea Salonga's Miss Saigon Broadway musical, while father Juan Miguel Salvador was a famous rock star in the Philippines. Anyway to arouse more of your curiosity consider viewing Janella's music video titled "Take it easy" it's more of an off-beat song and you will appreciate her talent more.

Although I appreciate Stell's high vocal power, he didn't display it in the "frozen " part finale of the song for the very clear reason that this song is tailor made for feminine gender. Stell needs to make it low to emphasize the two female voices who were in their high belting mode where he needs to harmonize with them being a gentleman. Should he compete with them in high vocal notes, then he would appear like a lady trying to compete with two ladies.
Lastly speaking of Zephanie, she was just the grand champion winner of Idol Philippines season 1 and her winning title speaks more of herself.
