Hahah yes Babymetal is great at making you emotional! I'm 47, my wife and I saw them live in Texas twice last year and even though I had watched hundreds of videos I was NOT prepared for the emotional shock that hit me when they took the stage! We didn't get to experience all the huge over the top production and stuff, but the trade off is, if you have extra money and time, you can be VERY close to the stage! In Dallas we were! And the level of personal crowd interaction they did was so special and fun!! My wife made me a pair of shiny shoulder armor like they wear... Moa noticed and laughed and waved at me. These incredibly adorable yet powerful young ladies are nothing short of awe inspiring and their hard work and positivity makes me smile so big!! I believe part of what makes it so emotional is that they are designed to have the crowd participate in a big way so you feel part of the show, and not just that you're watching a show..coupled with the fact that they are huge on community and working together to get through hard times..it creates a REALLY powerful emotional feeling! ❤

Great reaction.🦊🤘 Live is where BABYMETAL are at their best ... and they are black belts when it comes to crowd control and engagement. The concerts this video came from were held at the PIA Arena in Yokohama on 1st and 2nd April last year. The DragonForce 'Through the Fire and Flames' feel you got from this was not a coincidence. Herman Li and Sam Totman from DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song (it is the only one they were involved in) and recorded the guitars for the album version. They have said they made this more technical and faster than most of their own songs thinking they would never have to play it live ... and that they had to practice hard when they did perform it with BABYMETAL at an awards show in London in 2015. About the song itself - 'Road of Resistance' was on the second album (Metal Resistance - released in 2016). It is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow. Keep the BABYMETAL reactions coming - the official videos are all very good and worth seeing, but live is where they are in their element. I'm sure you have a lot of good suggestions already (I think I saw 'Monochrome' and 'Megitsune' both live at the PIA Arena in the comments) - go with those, but you can't go wrong with any live BABYMETAL.🦊
