Taxing people who actually own their homes that they av worked hard for and paid for , and taxing inheritance from people who av already paid tax during their working lives . Needs to stop seriously . Enough is enough
Our house has risen in value over the years and we have worked for years to renovate it , rewire and re plumb it, fit a new boiler and double glazing by spending all of our spare money on the house and garden, we have missed out on holidays and luxuries to make sure we had a nice home for our retirement and that we could afford the upkeep. If this Labour Government now want us to pay 1% of its value every year we will go broke, we simply do not have enough money to do this now that we are retired. We don’t mind paying our taxes but this is a king to daylight robbery and if they make it the law, we will loose the house we worked so hard for.
This is how Labour will effectively nationalise the entire housing stock. Massive council tax rises plus a wealth tax that will drain the wealth from the home. Capital gains tax when you sell, then punitive levels of Inheritance tax that will take what’s left. Gotta have those houses for the gimmegrants!
And it will get even worse. Find a document called "Land For The Many". It lays it out. Their intent is to strip everyone of property while also protecting banks.
Gov. are overwhelming the system with our boat friends so that the banks can introduce CBDC. Say no to digi ID, they need that first to roll out everything else. Use cash, spend with local economy, grow food, prep and repair stuff.
@geocrook4724 I agree partially. There are too many saying, 'the people'. That reads as everyone able to vote did so for Labour. 80% of the electorate did not vote for Labour. Unlike what we have had to put up with from the anti this and anti that. If they are allowed to protest without interference, we are surely allowed to as long as we have NO alcohol and NO rioting. Charging a percentage of the value of a property as a tax will kill OAPs. Straight from WEF.
Actually straight from Trotsky. The WEF would want nothing to do with Starmer and his Trotskyism agenda. It's Starmer who is leading this madness, please don't blame anyone else. You can safely put it all on his shoulders.
Isn't the council Tax a tax on homes? Surely, it's one or the other? Also, surely, they have to go through debate and votes etc. Or is it really becoming a dictatorship under Stasi Starmer?
Seems like they just do whatever. No need to consult public. Socialist society we are heading now.
WEF plan to take your home
I agree, it isn’t nothing to do with assisting anyone except the government, to ease the burden of the new house builds and migrant accommodation. We have to pay for governments failures….He’s a traitor and compulsive liar, he did everything Tories and Reform said he would do and he denied.
People, it’s scare mongering if we all show non compliance they can’t do anything …stuff the feckers getting nothing from me
it is all scaremongering ,we must not let them win .Starmer has to go first .
Basically they want to take all you have, and give it to the Gimmigants..the great replacement...
People may be property rich but cash poor how are they supposed to come up with the cash every year to pay this money. Many will be on pensions with no other income.
They are not supposed to, when your debt reaches about 5 grand because you can't pay the tax your house will be taken from you and sold in a closed auction to a Blackrock front company who will rent your home to illegal migrants while the taxpayers pay their rent.
The tax bill will be more than my yearly income
This is true the house may be valued at a million pounds now in London area but if you bought it years ago for fifty grand you don't have a million pounds sat in your bank account do you .
I'm a widow, my house is paid for,I have no money still work, this has got me really 😟
Everyone refuses then they can't
but not all will refuse !!
OMG I'm glad I didn't vote them in
neither did I but we still got them !!!
I’m off to see the estate agent in the morning. Leaving this shitehole
Good luck. Would like to myself, but not straightforward.
Where are you going to go? I've considered this myself but it seems everywhere is going the same 😫
@@susanfletcher8960 I have found somewhere. I’m not advertising it. I don’t wish to have a rush to this place from others I believe it’s been overlooked.
The rich people are already leaving the country and l don’t blame them.
I know a couple of them both well off families, they’ve had enough.
Are we slaves that we should blindly obey? Or are we free independent people that will not be slaves? We fought slavery years ago why we willingly subject ourselves? Who is Starmer to tell US what to do. We are not a dictatorship, never will be .Think again Starmer, seriously THINK AGAIN!!
Time to stand up and fight. Make your voice heard, attend peaceful protests.
If you have paid for your home yet it can be taken away if you do not pay the yearly tax on said property then in reality, you never owned your home
it's like equity release ,you get a loan on your home ,or you think it's you home ,but is it .
Have they not heard of property rich but income poor. Council tax is a rip off as there are now less services being provided
Politicians and their wealthy (mainly foreign) friends and investors will be happy to buy these properties. It will also be interesting to see if these taxes will apply to foreign ownership. I suspect not similar to capital gains tax etc.
