I didn't think I could like OG Fran more, then they made this adorable monster, She was my first bond 10 on JP since I started around that time and she was my first non-Tutorial SR, hell I even recently gave her that bond 11 thing just so I could use her more, I love my little Fran, lol.

I do think that skill was forgotten. Although I think you could also say Fran's skill is better in some ways. Since you don't necessarily need Mash's gain rate to get to a single NP and with it being across 3 turns she has more potential for quick spam than Mash. But yeah, I'd say the pure insanity of Mash's skill was forgotten here.
I was about to make a "Am I joke to you?" post for Mashu, but I was certain that at least someone caught this before me.
You're right, I forgot how high the number was on Mash's skill. Though I will still say Fran's is better because it has much higher uptime so you'll get a lot more charge out of it in the long run. If a battle is 10 turns, Mash's buff is only active for 2 of those 10 turns while Fran's is up for 6
G&A Reviews I agree and also mash np gain skill is combine with a taunt so let’s say without any of the defense buff on turn, a Crit may either hurt her severely or just kill her and that’s compare to only draining bout 20 np bar
Among the recommended offensive supports you listed for Fran, you kinda overlooked Rider Ishtar, who is also a F2P option. She provides both quick buffs and additional NP Gain, which when tacked on to Fran's already insane NP gain, can turn her into a ludicrous NP looper. I'd sooner use her as a teammate over Alexander.
I'm happy that she's on that first Summer banner. If she had been on the other one I'd have a much tougher time. But can happily pull for her while aiming for Nero. Summer Fran is just unbelievably adorable and seems extremely fun to use. A great example of using demerits intelligently in a servant design. Plus she does have a Jet Zanber noble phantasm which is kind of awesome.

Her gameplay design is really good, I agree. Her demerit aren't completely crippling, but at the same time they still need to be counteracted and used strategically. Very fair
Saber Fran is the entire reason I started playing FGO. My Fate waifu 100%, no contest.
I've got over 600 Quartz saved up to get as many copies of her as possible because I must max out her everything.

I'm honestly surprised you didn't mention Jeanne. Because she is basically the perfect defensive support for Fran. She gives Fran Heals, debuff clears, and Invincibility.
Also her Arts heavy deck fits will with Fran's NP spam style of play.
Furthermore, you forgot to mention her S+ Rank Daughter rating.

Wait, isn't mashu's NP gain skill the best in the game? Even at level 1 is 200% up. Although it does last only one turn...
I don't remember the numbers, but Level 10 has gotten me from slightly under 100% up to 200% or nearly 200.
Mash's gives 400% NP Gain up in comparison to Fran's 80% BUT Mash's 400% only lasts for 1 turn and at base Fran's AQQ seems better than Mash's AQA.
Also Mash's np gain is tied to her taunt which can be good or bad depending on the situation. the hits can top off Mash if she somehow didn't fill up her gauge or can end up killing her before she can use her NP. They are both very good skills but aren't super comparable especially when considering the NP's they are charging are even more different.
In terms of raw percentages, Mash's is stronger by a considerable margin. However, it doesn't even last a full turn (so Mash doesn't have a defensive NP gain bonus, unlike Leonidus). However, Fran's lasts three whole turns, and on a five turn cooldown, meaning it'll but up more often than not.

Not really planning on rolling for Fran in particular, but since I'm rolling on the Nero gacha first thing when it hits, there's always the possibility that she shows up.
This is the first banner where I legitimately wouldn't mind being spooked by any of the servants. They're all cute as heck and pretty good to boot.

Great vid as always, that said I'd argue that going 1st for the Summer Galvanism for skill leveling is better on the fact that while steroid is nice, the steroid is somewhat wasted if you can't do all the crazy things you can do with Summer Galvanism.
True enough, you can go either or. I just prefer the extra damage since her NP gain is already quite good on it's own

AND Here's the other Summer Servant I intend to Whale for, if I have to!! I LOVE Saber Fran SO FREAKING MUCH!!!!! She's got MUCH BETTER Skills then her Berserker Form, She's a Boss Killer Servant now, She's ABSOLUTELY FREAKING ADORABLE, and the fact that She can Speak better as a Saber, AND She sounds SUPER ADORABLE; seriously, I have given Plenty of Reasons to Roll for her!!! I'm looking forward to her so much, and I'll be heartbroken if I don't get her... T.T
Saber Fran is pretty precious, but sadly I won't be able to go for her since my only/main goal for Summer 2 is Maid Alter. And that only depends on how my rolls go tomorrow on the Archuria and Martha solo rate up.
I'm in dying need of a good ST saber (planning to use that 4* exchange ticket on Saberlot), so I'm hoping I can get spooked by cute saber loli while I snatch Caster Nero 🙏🙏
I am not sure if the catalyst thing was real but James helped me get Fran. Anyway, I think Fran is good for boss battles since she can remove annoying enemy buffs. Not sure where to rank her among 4 star anti-boss sabers
Shes a nice bonus to whats possibly the best banner this year, Summer nero and Nobu already make it the best for me, then you add nitocris and fran and i'm like "TAKE IT! TAKE ALL OF MY QUARTZ!"

The one other Summer Servant whom I absolutely MUST have! Since a whole year ago, I've been dreaming of getting both Caster Nero and Saber Fran, just because they seem to fit well together (aesthetically, I mean).
Nero looks like some Atlas Magus with those Mystic Codes flying around her and Fran-chan looks like her homunculus, Nero's creation and partner who comes around with a very specially designed weapon to boot.
Honestly, if I fail to get Caster Nero, I dearly hope I can at least get Saber Fran!
The other Summer Servants are nice too, but these two are my main goals this time around!
I really wanted Saber Fran so I spent all my 180 SQs on this Gacha but I ended up with Nitocris and Nobu instead but I'll take a 2 for 1(i just wish I could also get that 1)(guess I'll try this December for Abby for the cutest daughteru)
Huh, I never considered how useful and good Saber Fran could be until I saw this review from you. Never disliked her, in fact I really like Fran as a character, but I ignored her Saber self. Considering I'm in need of a ST Saber, I'm hoping to snatch at least a copy of her when I roll for Nero :D she sounds great despite the demerits.

I just got her and man is she cute although her fourth acension art may expose too much skin and she, herself is in a provocative position and plus her adorable voice. I don't know what to think of her any more.

I’m up to 100 SQ’s in need of a Saber badly and have like 500 mana prisms ready to trade for tickets in like less than 2 hours. I been waiting for them to refill for a week now. In the discord I was told to wait till like the 5-6th when her rate will be slightly up more... this suspense is killing me and the fact that rolls are worse than Vegas is just murder on my anxiety. I may not have a great set up of cast yet being a couple months into this game but man is she ridiculously adorable and I really really need a Saber. I’m not a fan of Fergus even though he’s got 3 busters. Seeing her cards and hits was what made me go, “What?!!”

Yup, totally agree with wu as the best buffer for quick. Alex just gonna take all the stars with him and Atalanta, despite giving a higher card boost it's only lasts for a turn.
I wonder in some ways if it isn't better to let CEs boost Fran's quick damage and use more general supports.
@@Flaris Actually that might work too. Seriously, her np gain is so damn good, you just need a CE/Servants that could generate stars. I just use hans and equip fran with CE that boost her attack or increase her np gain and she is able to use NP back to back just fine.

I was thinking about saving for Summer Nobu’s and Caster Nero’s rate up but now I think I’ll roll for the universal banner. Only problem is Summer Nito who I don’t think I’d ever use
my alt account is hoping to get summer Fran (as my alt one day hopes to get regular Fran to level 100 but the amount of bones that she needs to get to her 3rd ascension right now hurts me)

Her demerits are what throw me off. She sounds like a good servant but she is def a servant you have to play around with at first before finally using her to her true potential. Maybe I will roll for her

That'd be a long list lol. I'd say prioritize supports first, so Merlin, Tamamo, Hans, Mash etc... then focus on leveling the skills on whoever you best damage dealer is

Fail....I tried for NP2 Squirtoria and NP3 or better Martha.......got NP3 Vlad III, NP4 Siegfried, NP3 Heracles for my efforts......rate up is a lie lol
What about Xuanzang as support for Fran? She can effectively nullify all of Fran's demerits and make her NP gain even more insane

Welp.....now I got to get her since I already have wu and a friend has a another wu, which will help her and I have a few other servants that might help her such as Anderson since his noble Phantasm can give her a healing buff and have a chance of increasing her attack, my friends who have merlins will also be useful.
I somehow pulled 4 of Summer Fran and got Beserker Fran as a spook. I think the game wanted to tell me something...

Since everyone seem to be promoting the "Super Success" good luck charm, I decided I might as well give it a try, even though I already got my target Nero Caster. I did a 30 SQ pull after one, and got one 5* event CE and 4 of the 4* event CE. That was already fairly lucky, but since I already had a couple of the 4* ones, I decided to MLB one... which also gave me a Super Success. So, since I felt obliged, I bought 18 SQ to round out my reserves, did another 30 SQ pull, and then got... two more event 5* CEs, one more 4* event CE, another Nero Caster AND two Saber Frans (also, for the record, I have normal Fran at NP2 as well, with the second copy dropping by during my first bid for Nero).
So yeah, I thought the "Super Success Charm" was a silly little exercise in confirmation bias, but now I am a believer!

Well, no, not really. I still think it's just randomness being clumpy, but considering that I got an NP2 Nobu, an NP2 Fran, a normal Fran, a Stheno (freakin spook useless goddess) and a freaking NP3 Nero Caster out of 120 SQs, my previous insane salt-levels after failing to get Squirtoria with over 700 SQs have greatly subsided.

@@GAReviews And now, the story continues: I decided to use up all the EXP mats dropped from the event farming nodes to level out Saber Fran a little. On the first batch, got a Super. Decided to throw in a single ticket, got a 3* CE. Too bad.
Second and third batches were normal. Fourth batch was another Super. Another ticket, another 3* CE. No biggie.
Fifth and last batch, got a great success. I decided the rule of three is in effect, so I threw in another ticket. Got a normal summoning animation. Oh well.
Then the silver berserker card turned Gold. I'm like, ho boy, it seems I'm gonna have an NP3 Nobuzerker!
Then the Servant is shown... and it's Vlad! He was a dupe, but one I can't really complain about, as he is the damage engine of the one-size-fits-all Arts team I use to demolish most challenge quests, so having him at NP2 is definitely something to be happy about. :)
Gameplay? Forget that, I'm rolling because she's a precious cinnamon-roll.
