I don't get how he dies THAT many times and then doesnt decide to go explore the hunters dream one time out of 100.
Like the game is essentially punishing you for having tunnel vision, I'm glad you saw it that way and laughed it off.
@@mr.voidroy6869 I always heard about Bloodborne being really tough so just assumed this is the game. So wrong. Like you said, complete tunnel vision.
I was stuck for one YEAR on the first monster where you "supposed" to die so you can pick your weapon. I had no idea wtf i should do.
I couldn't imagine playing Bloodborne without music
Bloodborne and God of War are the two recent games that I feel genuinely bad playing without music. I listened to Bloodborne's soundtrack yesterday, epic stuff.

@@AdamMcDermott what makes your decision strange is the fact that you only hear the soundtrack during the boss fights and certain sections but hey, to each to its own!
@@franlovelsimic8421 I don't quite understand you, buddy. I turned off the soundtrack for better editing control and to avoid potential copyright infringement in the video.

This is still the only game I've ever actually sat down and decided to platinum. Ever since I came across this series , this is the episode I've been waiting for!
Great game for your first platinum.
It was my 12th plat, but the first one I had decided to go for in years and it was such an amazing experience finally getting it.
Darksouls 3 was my first platinum
Bloodborne is a very easy game to platinum due to the total amonut of trophies being very low.
I haven't platinumed it yet because I just refuse to do the chalice dungeons, such a huge flaw in an otherwise brilliant game.

This really made me want to replay Bloodborne. Still game of the generation, as far as I'm concerned. Hope it'll run at 60fps on PS5.

Man it’s sad that you played the game without any music. Regular gameplay doesn’t have any music anyway, but thethe bossfights do and they make them feel more epic :(

I got this plat in a week, it's just sooo good and addicting. 3 different playthroughs too, no shortcuts.

This is the only game I ever got a platinum. I don't even try to get trophies I just loved the game so much and played it so much it ended up happening without a conscious effort on my part.
Thats a good way to earn a platinum. Im playing it on my own now. Im fighting paarl atm. Very tough game with an insane music and setting. Design is amazing. Lovely games! Never played before soulslike

I finished my first playthrough yesterday and immediately started new game plus. This is one of the best games I’ve ever played.
Adam running around searching for a weapon totally in over his head straight up running into Cleric Beast is comedy gold!

I'm so happy to see one of my favorite content creators cover my hands-down favorite game! I would highly reccomend the dlc, too. It's even better than the main game in my opinion, and the new weapons are a ton of fun.

Getting all the way to the Cleric Beast without a weapon is impressive. But at the same time I was screaming “GO TO THE DREAM DAMMIT!!!” Lol

I had more problem with Amygdala after getting past the Watchdog pretty easily... but that Amygdala fight took me over a year of coming back to the game every month to try again.
@@AdamMcDermott Please play the DLC with music. It only plays it in boss fight and muting that in you footage Is really easy. It really is a shame, because especially the DLC has amazing boss soundtracks.
@@OZEEtube I'll be doing the same and muting the music for the DLC. Want the sound effects for the final video. Although, I will do a new game plus with the music on much like the base game.

Just pausing to say that it's not at all helpful when people bang on about the difficulty of Soulsborne games. It leads to frustrating things like Adam experience with the werewolf at the start, and many many players experiences with Dark Souls and the respawning skeletons
Same, when I first started Dark Souls Remastered I chose thief as starting class and after seeing how little damage I did to every enemy with the bandit knife, I just assumed this was part of the difficulty rather than me choosing a bad weapon. I beat the trilogy since then, and people should really stop praising Dark Souls' difficulty and praise its mechanics instead.
I kind of agree but part of the issue with the werewolf at the start was that he went straight back to gravestone rather than looking around first not entirely the games fault
agreed! The worst part of people over-exaggerating the difficulty is it puts people off of the games that would likely enjoy it, because people make them sound impossible
@@user-tv7hn7gm8b they aren't blaming the game, they are blaming people who make souls games out to be impossible. Adam likely had it in his head that bloodborne is meant to be so difficult, so there were no flags raised when he had no weapon and was doing shit damage, when really that should tell you that you missed something. Hopefully I explained that ok lol
@@haydeng3316 Still on the player, ive been experienced with the souls games when i first played it and the pathetic damage and the fact i was fighting with my bare fists were a huge red flag that something was wrong, same thing happened with my friends whos first entry to the soulsbourne series was bloodbourne. The solution isnt for the game to handhold
I know likely hundreds of comments have said it, but it truely is a shame you didn’t play with music on. The emotional impact of the fights are elevated to unimaginable levels

Adam McDermott at least if you do a vid on the dlc, please have music on for your own sake. I think me and every other fan of the game would be fine with you just muting the game audio and playing something else over it
@@Herr_Gamer Eh, then the game sound effects would be muted and I would rather sacrifice the music. Can always listen to the soundtrack in my own time or enjoy the music in new game plus :)

This was the first time I've seen someone not know how to get their weapons but immediately understood how to get back to the level.

It was really fun that you included your learning curve at the beginning! Though in contrast seeing almost nothing else of the game felt weird.
Watchdog of the Old Lords was also my hardest boss. 6 hours.
And I didn't know that the Moon Prescence had a Numbing Mist effect. That makes the 1hp attack a bit more threatening.

Thanks. I cut out a lot of the rest of the main game because the video would only get repetitive showing boss after boss after boss. Wanted to be selective, video still ended up being huge.

Adam me oul flower I got this platinum a few weeks back and it was also my first From Software game. I had it for months, played it for an hour or so and switched it off, promising never to go near it again. A friend of mine who is an expert in the Soulsborne series said to me "just get passed the first boss before you give up completely". Now I'm on new game +++ and I'm addicted. Killing the Cleric Beast changed everything, I've been waiting for this vid...

This brings back so many memories for me - both frustration and victory. Those first few minutes, just looking for a weapon...and the dungeon fatigue is real. I didn't plan to platinum Bloodborne but by the time I got to the end (for the first time) I was so into it I just wanted to keep going. I wound up getting the platinum on my third run. Still my favorite of all of the "souls-like" games for its mood and atmosphere.

Absolutely love your channel. Was genuinely buzzing to see you were covering this game and after trying it and putting it down around 7 times (literally, no ecaggeration) and then leaving it alone deciding it wasn't for me.
Seeing you play this inspired me to get through it. I managed to get the Platinum on a single playthrough (using uploads for the endings) then. Then did a new game plus playthrough.
I've since done the DLC, meaning starting the game from scratch again leading to just having finished the 3rd playthrough, this time in full for 100% completion and about to plunge into another NG+ playthrough.
I absolutely adore the game. The art style, the gameplay, the learning curve in combat, the lore.
I genuinely can't get enough of it.
I don't think I would've ever gone for it if it hadn't been for this video.

Jesus Christ man, I hate to laugh at blissful ignorance, but that whole first segment, running for your dear life, all the way to the cleric beast, with no weapon was the genuine hardest I’ve laughed in ages. Brings me back to my first time playing. 😂

When I redeemed the game on PS+ I got stuck on Father Gascoigne for like 2 hours and then just gave up cos I was trash at the game XD
I did not consider to buy this game because there was somenthing in me that really wasnt attracted to, but man seeing the joy you had while playing it convinced me to buy it. I love your videos a lot, greetings from Mexico!
