Climbing in Wilderness areas is under threat, particularly in National Parks.
A radical new proposal from Washington, D.C. threatens rock climbing in the Black Canyon, across Colorado, and around the country. It would alter the long-held interpretation of the 1964 Wilderness Act and treat fixed anchors in Wilderness areas as fundamentally illegal.
