    Just picked this up for £74 in Asda today. Used your video to show my son what it's like before hand. Thanks for the video.

    Been umming and arrring about this tent for months after watching all the Americans and there white and orange version "not a big fan of the colour either", and all the comments about the waterproofing being non existent, £20 for waterproof spray is all it takes, after watching this and hearing the last part about rain, I'm going to purchase it today, thanks for the detailed review, I hope your tent is still going strong.

      Thanks for the nice feedback mate. Definitely one to get and it served me well for a year and a half before giving it to a friend. As far as I know it's still going strong 💪

    Just bought one! It looks bigger than expected! Id borrowed a friends for a festival, and was well impressed by how easy it was to put up! I wonder if they have a footprint and carpet or theres one on the market that would fit! The powerbank, does it have an option to add solar? Im moving back from a folding camper after having an accident that put me off towing and already have a folding solar panel

    I like the orange color while hunting for one year. I hung my bow in a tree & went to look at something 20 yards away. Came back. Could not find or see it. So when I found it, I put a loud hunter orange wrist strap, never happened again. So don't believe that. If you need help. & in that tent, it may be a while before you are located. Cells either don't work. And give first responders a priority 📍

      Very true mate and a good point for rescue. I do keep an orange high vis hunting jacket just in case.

    Nice review. Bought one of these from Asda on a clearance bargain over a year ago and still not had the opportunity to use it. Like you, I wanted to waterproof it first.
    Question - what size ammo-can is that I spied there? I use ammo-cans for camping storage etc and looking for one similar to this, depending on the weight.
    Cheers.

      The ammo can is an H50 and you can grab one from preppersshop.co.uk.

    • @SurvivalManagementGroup
      @SurvivalManagementGroup  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its a lot quicker to take down and bag up than putting it up. Took me and my grandad about 10 minutes to completely pack it away as it needs to fold down quite a bit to fit in the bag :D
      Hope you enjoy it mate.

    • @SurvivalManagementGroup

      Its hasn't let in any water but definitely pick up a bottle of waterproofer for insurance.
      Only problem is condensation but due to the size and ventilation its not bad at all.

    Thank you for your review, Im looking at purchasing this tent for a family gathering later this year, I was looking at purchasing two of them to fit two families is, one family of 4 (2adults & 2 small kiddies) and a family of 5, (2 adults & 2 small children and a slightly older child) with slightly smaller air beds than you had in the review, do you think these would work..... by the way, your grandad is awesome :-)

      Glad you found the review helpful. I certainly think it would work as the tent is technically designed for 3 double airbeds to fit. However, you won't have much room.

    thinking about starting my 3yr old daughter on her first camping trip . think this tent would withstand a whirlwind 3 year old?

    • @SurvivalManagementGroup
      @SurvivalManagementGroup  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think there's any tent on earth that can withstand a 3 year old 🤣 but this should be fine.
      The only weakness is the centre pole. Doubt a youngen would have the strength to pull it down but you never know.
      Would be funny as hell though 🤣

  • @chloe-marietaylor1947

    When you waterproofed it did you wet the tent first, spray the solution and then dab excess off? I've read some people do and some don't. Thanks

    • @SurvivalManagementGroup
      @SurvivalManagementGroup  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't wet the tent before application.
      It is actually recommended to rinse dust particles off the tent and then apply when it's damp. Its not essential but will give you a good even coverage and help be absorbed into the fabric.
      This is the same for most Nikwax products like the one in the video but others may differ.

    I love the content, I think you should make a come-back as we haven't seen you in a while. However, I really wish TH-camrs would lay off with the constant time-lapsing (fast forwarding), as it turns the video into a garbled pile of mess that is unwatchable, in any case, I would have like to have got a real-time feel as to how long this tent takes to put up (I say 'put up' rather than erect as I can't seem to use the word in any conversation anymore, can't think why)

    • @SurvivalManagementGroup
      @SurvivalManagementGroup  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi mate 👋
      Yes life and a new job has got in the way of me making any new videos for a while but appreciate the comment.. always nice to be missed 😁
      The time-lapse is very much like marmite. Some people have zero attention span these days and can't sit through a full set up video!
      I can tell you it's very quick and easy to set up when you get the hang of it. I can throw this tent up in less than 15 minutes these days.
      Have a good day!

    • @jonathankarling1239
      @jonathankarling1239 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Get a big heavy torch… if you hit someone with a bat, change you’ll get charged… pick up a torch (you can get super heavy ones designed to be bats as well) and it’s as if you have picked up the nearest random object to defend yourself. Loophole in the law. If you have deliberately picked up a weapon like a bat to hit someone, you can get put away even though you were defending yourself as a bat is intended to cause damage. Although I suppose it’s feasible a bat is a nearby item on a camping trip
