Ryan Roose Debatable both kick ass, but I love when Silverstein can prove they could write heavy songs without having to scream. I hope they start playing this one live
Fans of Silverstein, you should join us later today (Sat, July 15 @ 3PM CDT/4PM EDT/1PM PDT/10PM CEST) on Plug.dj (plug.dj/thecorecommunity) to listen to #DeadReflection in full! We'd be stoked to have you!
I don't know if it's just me, but so far I've listened to about half the album, and it seems it's missing the energy the previous albums have had. Let me know if I'm wrong please.
I thought the same thing, but I now realize it's a masterpiece. You really have to listen to the album multiple times to appreciate how great it is. On the first few listens, I thought the flow and track list seemed off, and some songs like "The Afterglow" felt out of place. The CD seemed to be just a collection of Silverstein songs and not a complete, cohesive album. Boy, was I wrong! This album is lyrically and musically on an entirely new level for an already amazing band, and it takes time to really appreciate what they've given us. This is honestly the most personal album Silverstein has released since Discovering the Waterfront. Shane has talked about how the year before he wrote this album was one of the toughest years of his life. He talked about how he came out stronger with a new energy and way of looking at life, and it definitely shows. I saw them recently on Warped Tour and their live set further solidifies that Silverstein are the best they've ever been. I was almost disappointed after my first listen, especially considering how good every single had been so far, but this is everything we could ever want and more from a Silverstein album. I recommend giving this one quite a few spins before developing an opinion of it.
volcomfiji 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏you the real mvp, i felt the exact same as the op but just like you said, give it a few listens and it suddenly turns to like the best mix of every god damn silverstein ice cream flavor you want in one bowl. I bought this album the day it came out and the cd hasnt come out of my car stereo since. So damn good!
Christopher Bownes ive got it on repeat and I keep liking it better and better, so different from the last album where I was instantly blown away except for desert nights lol
The intro is similar to My Disaster. I noticed a lot of elements similar to previous Silverstein songs in this album, which I love because they stay true to their name while changing things up. Examples: Ghost -> Midwestern State, Aquamarine -> Hide Your Secrets, Secret's Safe -> Good Luck With Your Lives, Whiplash -> Dancing On My Grave, Wake Up -> Departures/Late on 6th
total 90s/2000s post grunge vibes in this one. fucking love it.
There's not a single bad song on the album and I don't know which one's my favourite... Maybe this because I really like the chorus
I love Whiplash and Last Looks! But this and secrets safe my top songs, but you're right..so hard to choose lol!
this album demostrates that silverstein still knows what fans want
This song was so underrated on the album, it was one of my favorites! Guys need to play it live!
Best song on the album. Just kept this on repeat. So fucking catchy
The first 20 seconds remind me of My Disaster so much it's like déjà vu..
Yes I sat here like that's not the song I clicked on
It may be the same chords actually.
The guitar at the start is some of the best stuff I've heard.
I love the remescist of "My Disaster" at the very beginning! :D
That intro, oh my
Best song to listen to to resent a battle
This album is filled with bangers!

The opening riff reminds me a bit of a faster version of the opening of "Rough Hands" from Alexisonfire.

Jesse Torres love the i prevail profile pic.
Who's the other vocalist on this track?
Does this have a throwback sound to anyone else? Idk why. Like 80s or something..
