Thank you meme Aina. Information on buying a home in Namibia is very scarce. We have a lot of agents that don't care about informing first time buyers on what the fees are when getting a house. Right now I sit with regret getting this place. Please keep educating us!!!

@@ainasheya No in Swakop and it is not a new house. Does the seller have to provide an electrical and plumbing certificate in order to sell the house? Asking for a friend.

Who pays for the roof after the buyer moves in and finds the roof needs fixing? Do houses get sold in Namibia ''voetstoots''.

Yes houses are bought voetstoots but it must be stipulated on the sales agreement. Once the property is bought, it becomes the new owner's reposibiliy, unless otherwise stated other sales agreement
