    These would make a delightful gift for the holidays. Take them to the host of a party, include them in packages. bring them to baby and wedding showers. The gift areas are endless. Henry, can you get the same effect if you roll them in flavored powdered sugar? Best to you and yours.

      @@HenrysHowTos Thank you for the heads up Henry. I'm going to experiment with different powdered sugars, maybe a blend with corn flour will stop that problem without effecting the taste.

    Having already seen a few recipes about how to make Gaz this video gave me additional insight and courage to try to make some Gaz myself. As the chef says there are numerous variety of recipes to make Gaz but out of all the serving presentations I've seen I like his the best. I will follow his example and use a muffin tin. Thanks for sharing your recipe and showing us how you do it.

    Hi Henry,
    Thank you for sharing. What’s the deal wit rice paper? I was looking at a recipe for torrone( which is like gaz) and it needed rice paper. Well I ordered it, but never used it. Your recipe looks less fiddly. Would def try it out.

    • @GamingWithMus
      @GamingWithMus 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I like rice paper better. It's only to keep it from sticking. In this recipe flour is used. I don't like the taste of raw flour so I personally prefer the rice paper

    • @HenrysHowTos

    • @HenrysHowTos
      @HenrysHowTos  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      shireen hasan you can, but having something as simple as a candy thermometer makes it much easier to control temperature. It’s much harder to get the right temperature without

    • @shireenhasan4703
      @shireenhasan4703 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@HenrysHowTos but you see in India mostly we do not have that thermometer. For such people you can also show how to measure heat if we do not have that . Like low heat medium heat or time recommendation . Means my granny taught me cooking and she always says that a best cook don't need gadgets. So why not without that ? Why always easy . Why not convenient?

      I always had gaz with cardamom in addition to rose water. I've seen a lot of recipes leaving it out though, so I'm starting to wonder if that's possibly a regional thing to do? I'm not sure.

      We make it but totally different with cardamom and it should be soft . In Baghdad and in North of Baghdad they sell the white sweet thing and we just add the nuts or pistachios and cover it with flour it’s to die for. They call it Min Al sama

      Persian and Iranian are two different things. Iranians are people with Iranian citizenship, whereas Persian are people of Persian roots. Iranians can be Persian, Arab, Turk, Balochi, Kurd, Afghan, Turkmen...etc. and Henry is originally Armenian, not Persian.
