Honestly I've known a little girl from the Philippines 💙 and she was a Muslim❤️ and when the month of fasting has come she fasted whole day for 27 days 😶her parents didn't want her to do it but she cried if they won't wake her up before fajr 😆 she was just 6 yrs old and her name was "Iman" they said this name was meaningful in Islam 😮 that was the time my family got interested in Islam❤️ I wrote this in English because lots of daud's fans are foreigners 😁

Other reasons why fasting it beneficial:
    1) Empathy: it allows those in a position of privilege to undergo the hardships faced by the impoverished
    2) Patience: it opens the spirit up enabling it to not be consumed by the daily struggles
3)Ketosis: your body undergoes ketosis which is the release of ketone bodies in the blood stream, they act as health boosters
    4) Clarity: your mind becomes sharper in a state of ketosis. Food keeps you sluggish throughout the day.
5)Reward: it is a saying in hadith that every other act of worship you do eg. Prayer etc is for yourself but fasting is for Allah hence it brings you to God.

Having a strong will as well, if u can have control and not have the essential things like food and water, you can certainly have control to stay away from haram things.

The prophet said: . The fasting person has two occasions for joy, one when he breaks his fast because of his breaking it and the other when he meets his Lord because of the reward for his fast.

Just a reminder for those who weren't already aware: In Islam, for the month of Ramadan...it is necessary to avoid and refrain from not just eating and drinking but also from doing bad deeds. It is a very essential part of Ramadan. It may be easy to forget this, but it truly is meaningless to fast or keep a 'roza' if we do not prevent ourselves from hearing, seeing, and talking bad. But ofcourse, salat i.e. prayer and zakat i.e. donating 2.5% from our earnings to the poor and needy is also obligatory. Please like this so everyone can know the true meaning of Ramadan. Thank you.
Edit: My mom wrote this lol but thanks for the likes she appreciates it!

    We also fast because:
    1. it's good for health, our bodies literally get rid of all the poisoning inside.
2.Also to build "takwa=تقوى", it's the feeling of accepting and being certain of all what Allah says and actually be capable to do it. Takwa also means the strength to overcome hardships.
    3. finally, fasting is learning to be vulnerable and weak, in order to learn compassion, understanding and acceptance for other human beings.

*Exactly, Fasting is not just abstaining your stomach from food. When a person fasts, his eyes are also fasting, which means he does not look/watch at evil and forbidden things. His ears are also fasting, which means he does not hear evil things such as back biting, cussing etc. If there is a place where this is happening, you simply stop them or walk away from there. And hence your feet are also fasting, which means, you walk away from the place where evil things happen. Your hands are also fasting, which means you don't cause harm to anyone with your hands - and most importantly (and perhaps the most TOUGHEST one - Your tongue is also fasting, which means, you control your anger, you don't say words that could hurt anyone even though they may be true. You don't back bite, you don't cuss out, you don't scream, you don't speak a lie. Your heart is also fasting, which means you take out any malice and clean it from everything and you forgive people who have done injustice to you, just for the sake of Allah.*
*Ramdhan is a month of practice where Muslims are supposed to practice and develop these traits and then try to live the remaining 11 months the same way as they did in Ramdhan, till the month of practice comes again. All the best to you.*

When we teach our children to fast, usually when they turn 5 or 6 yrs old, we normally tell them to fast half day, until 12 noon for example and we make sure they take breakfast (sahur). This is to train their body to withstand hunger and thirst. This is can continue for a week or so. Then we encourage them to fast longer and longer. Ofc, there are some overzealous parents who force their young children to fast fully right from the start. They will answer to Allah for being cruel to their children. Follow what Rasulullah taught us, not what not good Muslims do.
The same technique can be applied by new Muslims. Some born Muslims might ridicule you if you cannot fast fully during your first Ramadan. Let them be. Those are not good Muslims.

      Bismillahirahmanirahim means :
In the name of allah the most Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Allah is oud lord. he made us and he made the earth and the heavens in six days and everythinf what is inbetween in six days. Allah says in the quran There is no one like me so dont take assign partners to me and dont worship them. Worship only me. Allah made just only earth in 2 days. if everyones lord says worship only me allah why would people worship for example a rock. If a god tells you there is no one like me why would people worship a rock for example. If the rock cant benefit you and cant damage you. the rock cant even see or hear or create, why worship it then.
And dont follow a religion or some person blindelings. Because for example allah says pray 5 times a day. for example if I pray and you dont, you are not benefiting from me praying understand? You are not benefiting or getting damaged understand.

In islam we have a rule of tadreej (i.e slow progression) so we dont go n bombard someone with strict religious rules at once. So my advice to non muslim fellows or those who want to fast for the first time, First do short duration fasts like 4 hours 8 hours 12 hours and when you get habitual with them then go for full fast.
It is the same way we teach our young kids when they start fasting, normally by the age of 12 that first do half day fast etc and then with some practice they start having full day fast like regular ones coz its a general understanding that fasting is mandatory after you are 12 years old

I can relate too in this challenge. I actually tried it before, totally no food and water. The thing that I think important about what I've experienced that time was, I am now more aware of how Muslims feels during Ramadan and so it gave me so much impact as on how to be more appreciative and understanding about Islam.
At some point, I had thoughts of becoming a Muslim aswell, but I also understand that it's gonna be a big step for me, and I know I should learn more about Islam first before doing it.
I always have warm feelings when seeing videos about Islam, and I'm actually quite surprised that these videos popped up randomly, making me think that "I may be really have a calling towards Islam".
Now, I'm still processing it within myself. Hoping to have the best decision that will change my life forever. ❣

Ramadan teaches us self-discipline and self-control. When we fast during Ramadan for Allah, we stop ourselves from eating and drinking which is something halal and also a human necessity. We remember that we are able to control ourselves even from something halal, so that means we are surely able to control ourselves from something haram. Also, it's a reminder that you can let go of something you need to let go of and you can do anything that you feel is difficult if you put your mind to it.

He came to me and there's big smile in his face, told me: "I DID IT!" I laugh happily. I know he did that to respect us who fasting.
    P. S. He also tried to eat in hid but me and my friends came to him and sat near him. We tell that it's okay if he wants to eat. We muslim respect people who doesn't do fasting too.

one of the essence of Ramadhan is to make muslims realize that we are all equal in the Eyes of Allah s.w.t . . whether you're rich or poor, you have to fast and there you would feel the struggles and sacrifices of the less fortunate people of having no food at all and you would come to appreciate every blessing that Allah has bestowed upon you. That's the beauty of Islam.

BISMILLAH means "In (or with) the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful." 'Bismillah' is a powerful phrase that completes our actions and adds immense reward and barakah to everything that follows it.
