I grew up among all these Montesa, Bultaco, Ossa... and all the Rieju, Puch, Derbi... that we enjoyed in Spain back then. Greetings from Spain and keep up the good work, guys.
Damn! That was one beautiful load from James. Beautiful KTM dirtbikes, and I loved that gorgeous Yamaha GT 80, with a beautiful custom paint job. Please tell James hello. Love him to death. Best Motorcycle Transporter and Delivery Man, in our whole beautiful country!
Nice looking bikes, I had a Montesa 250 If I remember right a '75 model back in the 80s, it was fast. I never clocked it but that thing would do over 80mph.
Sheez this brought back memories. As a teenager in the UK in 83 I traded my XL185S in for a 1978 Montesa 360 H6. I rode it 25 miles from the city out to the farm I lived at. My first experience of an enduro bike. It was a beast, pulled smooth off the bottom and then kicked in hard in the mid, really hard. Vibrated like hell but I loved that bike.
Show show show.... Perfect... how I miss you... My name is Franco, and I'm from Brazil. Between 1980/81/82 we had some Montesas at home. We had 360 H6 Yellow and 360 H7 White... My #Father had Montesa Cota 349 White. It's always great to see traditional motorcycles. Congratulations Kaplan and team!!! SDs, Franco. Campinas - SP - Brazil
All Nice bike's, I also had a 1974 Yamaha GT80 when I was a kid, it was my first Mini Cycle, 4up N1234 , what a fun little Bike it was too, then I got a 1974 YZ80 5speed, also a nice little bike, I sure do miss those day's !😂😂 !
You gotta know my eyes 👀 were glued to the red Penton 250 because it was just like my Hare Scrambler except mine was green. Best dirt bike I’ve ever owned.
Looks like you just hit the “ Holy Grail “ truck load of Montesa’s !! Nice collection there , and the Ossa’s ( I’m guessing ‘73- or ‘74 ) and Penton with good old Sachs engine , then a RICKMAN !! Wow. I grew up ( well , I got older , never grew up 😆) in that golden Era of dirt bikes in the ‘70’s& ‘80’s when there were hundreds of manufacturers building and racing off road back then. Our local Areas ( So.California) and surrounding Deserts were full of those very same bikes . I started my motorcycle love affair on my ‘72 JT-1 Mini enduro and now wish I had never sold it many many years later. I’m 63 Kap, and will someday need to take a trip back East to your neck of the woods to see in the flesh You & your gang & collection of historic bikes. Thanks for posting this one, and All the work you guys do to keep these classics from the Crusher . This video for some reason brought back a memory of a poem from possible Cycle -Toons magazine ( remember that one anybody😉?) It went like this : “ I once met a man with 7 Sach’s , each Sachs had 7 shifts, Each shift had 7 shafts , each shaft had 7 shims, Shims ,shafts, shifts,Sachs, how many were going to Saddleback???? …..NONE!! Cause all of them were stuck between gears in neutral”. That one was a real tongue twister & my apologies for not remembering who the author was who wrote it was . Anyway hopefully you get a laugh like I did back in the day . C-ya on down the trails🤞👍
In the 70’s, I raced cz 400 and Montessa 125. I think Maico only company left from the early motocross. I guess Husky still around. No more Bultaco, Penton, Jawa, and others. Japanese took over
Remember Preston petty came out with his plastic fenders. I meet him and Pretty boy Bill Payne in El Paso at the airport. Petty flew his own Cessna and we unloaded their bikes. Gave some private lessons. Payne riding Maico 501
Montessa delight yeah!. Lots of people put Lamborghini Countach posters up. Not me, only the Montessa posters would go on my wall. Even though I had an Elsinore 125, Montessa's made me drool.
Man that brings me back. I remember laying on my bed, surrounded by pics of De Coster, Moats, Smith and all those incredible guys, reading the ol' "Dirt Bike Buyers Guide" By Dirt Bike Magazine. Dreaming of the day I could get my hands on a real race bike... I had a Yamaha 80 like you. I finally saved up and bought a 495 🏆To say dirt bikes are my passion is an understatement. Best sport ever IMO
Wow 😳 Montessa!!! I had a 1975 VR250 MX fast good bike never broke down. My brother had a GT80.. excellent 👍 Moisseev USSR MX KTM world championship on that KTM
My friend had that yamie 80. He hid it in the woods cause mom n pop didn't want him riding. Never changed the plug on it. Few kicks and your early for school.
Wow. I’m your age ken st n I remeber those as well only seen ossa maybe Kim’s but never montessa up here .. I lived in Oxford ma ! Ft 80 was 1 of my buddies we rode the other was a km 100
HECK, i have never even seen a Montesa enduro..never mind 3 of them? [ better run out and check my foundation..[ I think a new crack might be happening! ]
Like the old bikes, don't know what went wrong with seller to get rid of them all after so much work, illness, business plan etc, but it's hard to ignore the rm that sounds better than most.
Wow! ❤ How do you do it? I used to fantasize about owning a Montesa, and you just rolled out several beauties one after another. I would have thought this impossible in 2023 but you just keep doing it video after video. Even in 1978 they were rare sightings in America, at least down south. Just like you, I had a cool Japanese bike in the late 70s that I loved and rode everyday, but I’d look at Montesas in Dirt Bike magazine and I’d be stunned. One of these days I’m going to have to ride one of those red tank Montesas, even if it’s just for 5 minutes. Bravo! And just when I thought you were done. 7:05 This beauty roles off the truck. That Montesas and the KTM before it, dude you’re going to make me laugh and cry at the same time like a crazy man. How do you stop from smiling? 😂 Enjoy that haul!
A good friend of mine used to have a factory sponsored CZ 250 I don’t know if you remember him but if you want to know his name lmk awesome load of classics 😎🇺🇸
Omg ,we're talking rare as hen's teeth classics, I've seen them only on Google image's/pintrest, total UNOBTANIUM ❤😮🤠🤟🇬🇧💯🇺🇲🙏👊🪓🔫 🔪 🗡 4:164:46=Extra Gravy 3:233:387:21

Our pleasure!
🇺🇸Hola como stassssssSpain! Would you share a story with us? Im in New Jersey. 🇪🇸
Amazing bikes, "VIVA MONTESA"
Great collection. I had a late 60's Bultaco Matador, you could climb a tree with it. What a shame the Spanish motorcycle industry died.
Yeah nice trip down memory lane love the memories coming back from 76 when dirt bikes had soles
The pipe on that ossa. Style is all that comes to mind.
Christmas almost every day at Kaplan

Keeping the history alive, thank you Ken great bikes.
Always!
Geez!! Just like 1975 all over again. Some of those I only saw in magazines and not at dealers. That first Montesa is sweet. Thanks for sharing.
I used to dream of these bikes when I was a kid looking through cycle magazines! Amazing find!
Beautiful machines , it like going back in time with you guys

Thanks so much for a wonderful video. Here in Australia I haven't heard the name montesa for a long time. The days dirt motorcycles had a real seat.

Definitely be waiting for the test ride on these beauties. Maybe we can load um up and head to the compound. 👍
doesnt get any better for sure old school runners 🤘
You're right you saved the best for last. That Rm 250 looks awesome and sounds mighty crisp.
As much as I LOVE these old Montesas, a RM250 2-stroke is the end of the rainbow for me. I’m a Suzuki freak.
Cool as the other side of the pillow GOD BLESS YOU AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! #KAPLAN

That Montessa is cool.

Holy crap!!!speechless,what a haul!!!
In the 70’s, I raced cz 400 and Montessa 125. I think Maico only company left from the early motocross. I guess Husky still around. No more Bultaco, Penton, Jawa, and others. Japanese took over
Jawa has 100 dealers in India. No dirt or ice racers though.
Remember Preston petty came out with his plastic fenders. I meet him and Pretty boy Bill Payne in El Paso at the airport. Petty flew his own Cessna and we unloaded their bikes. Gave some private lessons. Payne riding Maico 501
