I agree that sherlock is completely nonsense. However that's why me and I think a considerable amount of other people love it. It's just batshit mental and it's great.
Trivia- shooting SEMTEX doesn't actually make it explode, so a big part of the the episode is silly. It seems clear that Moffat and Gatiss just loved the idea of ending the episode with Sherlock pointing a gun at a vest bomb, and that's why you get the strange choice of hostages with bombs "but also a sniper who will shoot the bomb they are wearing" rather than just using, you know, a remote detonator.

I remember their first meeting in Jeremy Brett’s Sherlock Holmes. That Moriarty was an utter chad and it forced Sherlock to be even ballsier. This scene just looks like Holmes and Watson are humouring an ADHD kid 😂

@@Cyber_Smoke Yeah, and the way Holmes buries himself in his dressing gown after Moriarty leaves. You know Moriarty is formidable if he makes Holmes feel violated.
It's no wonder doctor who got cocked up, same thing happened with game of thrones when arrogant writers took on another show just to ruin both.

and GUESSED it was that, so he
GOOGLED
the van buren supernova to confirm the DATE it was exploded !!!!!
Which was AFTER the original was supposed to have painted !!!!!!!!!!!
Thats how he got it !!!!!!!!
Why did he think of the sky?
Because the guard who was killed because it was fake had a telescope and interest into stars!! Sherlock remembered all the info and put it together in his head !!!!
Its funny, my friend recently introduced me to the Sherlock series, and when it came to the great game I instantly pointed out the twist villain as soon as he stepped into the Laboratory, at first as a joke due to the fact he was a new character that was ‘unconnected’ which would make a cliche twist. And my eager friends face told me it was true, which kinda ruined the ends effect. But over all it was pretty solid

I just always hated how we follow John as an audience but John always follows shitty uninteresting routes for the investigation. Then at the end of every episode Sherlock solved the whole thing off screen with his mind words and blows the case shut tight forever and it’s rinse and repeat.
Which is why Scandal In Belgravia is brilliant. That episode focuses mostly on Sherlock himself and is deeply tied to his character and emotions. Easily the best episode for me
@@Aukejorrit yeah because it’s the one of the only episodes that doesn’t follow the formula to a Tee feels different and should be how every other episode is made not the other way around lmao
forgot about this show,, will give a rewatch. anyway possibility of revisiting *inside no. 9* anytime soon? latest series ended just recently there's plenty of content

I enjoy the show and botb Cumberbatch and Freemans preformances. However i much prefer Jared Harris and Stephen Frys Moriarty and Mycroft respectively.

I still agree with HBomb, that Sherlock is just a nonsense show thats badly written by writers who aren't as smart as they think they are or as smart as they need to be, to write an actually smart and interesting character like Holmes ought to be.
Its just so "lol randemz" and "sherlock is just superhuman, don't bother thinking about it" that it insults the source materials efforts to let the reader in on the process.
If you want a good Sherlock Holmes series I recommend Moriarty The Patriot, an anime that reinvents the Sherlock Holmes universe while still keeping it set in the 1800's
@@maldon3659 finished it last month. It's indeed refreshing and well written. at least for the most part
HBomb was spot on and I love his brutally honest takedown. But at the same time, it made kids feel special and brought together a community of like-minded people. Even garbage has its place in society.
@@lewiskazinsky7334 Media can and will always bring people together. We shouldn't forgive trash just because people bonded over it, we should seek actually good stuff to bond over that instead; having the best of both worlds.
@@satyasyasatyasya5746 Yeah, I get you. I just don’t feel as strongly about garbage anymore after lockdown forced us to revisit old shows and make communities out of them. A torch in the dark can be very good for the soul.

To me, the beginning and climax of the episode were very memorable, but the middle is kinda just a big mess that I just didn't care for.
I have a lot of problems with this show, but I think the thing I hate the most about it is how they took away Sherlock's humanity. He was not a sociopath in the orginal stories. Although he was typically very logical and calm, he did genuinely care about justice and he was capable of feeling empathy.
I've been reading the sherlock Holmes stories lately, I'm currently on The Adventure of The Devil's Foot at the moment

No not really it’s a crime drama I would say it’s only the last season where it’s more of a “super hero show” but all the others are quite realistic (well as realistic as they can be )
I still enjoy the final season but I understand why people feel the show jumped the shark

So let me get this straight....You are unable to put together the fact that the man killed by the Golem had an astronomy hobby. He is the one that went to the professor about the painting being a fake, which Sherlock knew from Waston. Then while they were at the Planetarium it was on repeat talking about Supernovas, and since they knew that the professor said that the security guard was right about the painting being a fake she must have known the reason and was specifically looking for the definitive proof, which led Sherlock to realize since those two people knew something about the paiting, and the professor was playing that specific clip, that the fake point must have something to do with Supernovas, which, if you paid attention to the scene at the gallery, you would have noticed he does an extremely fast google search to confirm his theory. If I can figure that out, I'm sure someone with a brain like Sherlock's sure as hell can.
