Our packs were pretty light since the porters were carrying most of the gear, but we carried somewhere between 10-15 pounds of water/clothing/snacks. In terms of a packing list this is a link to everything you can bring for a Kilimanjaro climb: www.rei.com/blog/travel/kilimanjaro-climbing-gear-list
Oh great! We rented most of our warm weather gear in Moshi. I wore fleece leggings (or long underwear), another pair of leggings, and snow pants. I warmed up considerably going back down so you can always shed some layers and put them in your day pack going down. How many layers you'll want to wear also depends on the weather, but having a good pair of snow pants is ideal.
@@JenniGaultPE how was it, I was there in october as well, summited on the 14th by a 6 day machame route. I would consider going back and doing the northern circuit route, to see the other side of the mountain.
Hi! Curious to know what hiking shoes you used ?!
Super detailed, thanks so much! About how heavy was your pack for this trip? Do you have a pack list?

Thank you for this video🏔️ I am climbing Lemosho Route in October. I would love to know, please what you wore on your lower body for summit nite😊

I loved my experience - Summit was crazy hard.
Good luck and I look forward to hearing if you do from the North.
VEGAN that's what I needed to hear.
