    This worked best for my blanket yarn I’m using out of all the joining knots I could find, I put the smallest dab of super glue in between the knot and so far hasn’t broke or came undone yet

    Perfect knot for novelty yarn I'm using for a project. Just be sure to follow the instructions exactly, otherwise the knot will loosen. Great short helpful video.

    I like this method. It’s easy and secure, AND the knot is smaller. I don’t trim the ends too closely. When I try, I cut into the not. That little bit of extra yarn can be worked in on crochet projects, not sure about knitting.

  • @TinieMx
    @TinieMx 3 ปีที่แล้ว +41

    Tried this method once, never again. The knot came undone in my project, and ended up making a hole in my knitted vest. Had to make an ugly knot to keep my whole project from potentially unravelling.

      If you don’t loop it correctly it will come undone. I use this and it works beautifully, it holds up to harsh pulling.

      The reason it fails is that video is incorrect. You're better off just doing a "right over left, left over right" square knot (or surgeon's knot)......the yellow strands in the video (to the right) come out correctly....under the blue loop.....but the blue strands on the left should BOTH be coming out OVER the yellow loop on the left....But in the video only one blue strand is on top of the yellow loop....that is incorrect.

  • @reneolivier5718

    When i pull hard enough on it afyer cutting the ends the knot pops loose...this does not seem secure at all for knitting

      You should pull Hard on the 2 both short side!! if you pull hard on both wire just tided while short extremity aree still loose of course it is going to untigh ... you see when she tighs the knot, she pul hard on 4 extremity at the same time!! both shorts + 2 extremity representing the both wire being tight together......

    Not sure why my knot comes undone. Seems secure, Made sure I crossed strands correctly, tested the knot. Made sure I didn't cut too close, tested the knot. Knit a couple rows and knot comes undone. Seems like a great idea. Maybe it's user error, but not working out well for me.

    It never worked for me... i read on others comment yarn might be a bit slippery & you can make 1 small knot next to the original knot to prevent the slippery.
    This is like other's commented that it's not a fail safe.
    I haven't tried the Russian method, might be I'll soon❤🎉

    This video is "almost" correct.......You're better off just doing a "right over left, left over right" square knot (or surgeon's knot)......the yellow strands in the video (to the right) come out correctly....under the blue loop.....but the blue strands on the left should BOTH be coming out OVER the yellow loop on the left....But in the video only one blue strand is on top of the yellow loop....that is incorrect and will fail when actually pulled tightly.
