I wouldn't even consider a drop in turbo on these a bolt on. It just don't make sense fbo has been the same pretty much for ever I dont think adding a whole new bigger turbo counts but thats just my opinion
What I expected. I don’t doubt any gens of the Si’s especially with FBO and a tune. I’ll still gladly keep my ‘20 Type R. I’m close to FBO then Hondata.
Nope e85 with a tune brings it up there and great tires. Remember the type r comes with continental sport contact 6. The si comes with all seasons. Put them the same tires and the si just needs the e85 and the tune and it will win. Also the si is much lighter as well. The only problem with the si is the clutch...it will suffer since it's not a racing clutch like the type r.
For the price an si with e85 and a tune will beat a stock type r no question about that and it's cheaper. But.... To be fair the same mods on 1 car has to be on the second car. Then type r smashes. Also if I wanna drag race a type R I'd get a mustang gt or a Camaro SS they both cheaper and faster. So in reality money in the wallet does all the talking.
Good race! I enjoyed the si banging those gears in 👍🏽 well done. It takes a lot to beat a type R with a basemap 🙏🏻 was the si on a ethanol blend? E30 surely?
why? you sound dumb lol. type r was only on intercooler and basemap. Si was fbo and upgraded turbo prolly making what the type r is making with only a BASEMAP. fbo e50 type r with an upgraded turbo and upgraded direct port fuel system will make 470-500whp all day. Si will need all that and be fully built....
@@kuya_mike7813 I mean if he's not gonna track it then I wouldn't keep it I'll go for a Camaro SS ...it's much cheaper and faster and I can add more power. Very happy to see the Si keep up with the Type R.. FBO is where it's at for the 10th gen Si
FBO, W1 turbo and custom tune on the Si. Type r only has a basemap from Hondata.
Si with all the mods still cheaper then type r

When you get a tune you’ll be way too quick for a FBO si, this video shows the si is only as quick as a stock type R with all those mods.
