Instagram Security Code Not Received

- Let's fix Instagram if your security code is not received in this quick and easy guide.
Instagram will text you or email you a security code if you forgot your password. You can then use that code to reset your password and login to your account. If you're not getting your security code it may be an issue with filtering unknown senders in your Messages settings of your iPhone or Android. In this video, I walk you through several steps you can take to make sure any SMS texts are going through and you can get the security code and login again to reset your password. This way you can recover any lost account you don't have access to.

I HAVE A FIX!!!! I was having the exact same issue and Instagram would never get back to me after filling out the form. After a week of trying to figure this all out, I called my phone carrier (AT&T) and asked if they knew why I wasn't getting the verification code sent via text. This is what you have to do if you have an iPhone: Settings > Messages > Blocked Contacts > Unblock ALL contacts > try to resend the code. AND IT WORKED. LIFE SAVER.

My account has been deactivated for over a month every time I try to log in it says confirm your phone number enter the security code we sent to your phone (I’ve tried all the step in this video but nothing has worked) I tried searching for my account (on a alternate account) and it keeps saying user not found idk what to do at this point

Turned out my “send as SMS” was off. I was so scared that I was going to lose my page. Thank you SOOOOO SO SO MUCH! ❤ IT WORKED!
So I got sent a code for my Instagram last year some time on my cellphone number is that the code I use if I forget my password?
I actually solved the problem by reading a comment I think. Check your blocked list and see if you have a 5 digit number blocked and unblock all of them. Hope this helps!

Doesn’t help 😤 my phone number shows on the screen. I click “send the code” but it tells me “please wait a few minutes before you try again” it’s been like this whole day. Before that it would go to the next step where I can type in security code, but i didn’t receive it and tried everything from this video. May be I tried to send the code too many times.

So I changed my number to my current one and then when I woke up the next day and they logged me out asking for a security check. The security check kept wanting to send the code to the old number. And I kept resetting my password and they still keep asking for the security check with the same old number.

If you have iPhone you can just go to calls,my card, edit, and change it to your old one idk if Android is the same tho

I decided to deactivate temporarily my account because there's a lot of errors, I can't edit my profile, change avatar, etc. so yesterday (12/07/2021) I decided to deactivate it. and this morning when I want to log in, I didn't receive the SMS Verification ( took so long, but still not received the SMS)try too many times and still the same. and I don't have the screenshot of the backup code. so can't log in with the backup code.

Hello, I tried using two different phone numbers to receive the code multiple times. I didn’t realize I had my airplane mode on and wasn’t receiving the codes. However, now I tried requesting the code too many times and Instagram won’t let me do it anymore. It says try again in a few minutes and error. I’ve waiting hours and deleted the app and redownloaded ir and turned my phone off and on, and I’m still having this problem. Any advice please??

Try going to the Messages app and looking at the phone numbers that you have blocked, from there see which one has the codes that Instagram has been sending you and unblock it👍🏼

I’m having trouble getting back into my account. So I somehow got logged out of my Instagram and when I log back in it’s asking for me to confirm my mobile number. This is what is says
“Help us keep the Instagram community safe
by entering your phone number. We'll send
you a security code.”
But when I put my mobile in it just says:
“Please wait a few minutes before you try again.”
and I’ve obviously tried multiple times and nothing is working! And now im basically locked out! Can anyone help me please!!!

I open the app and it takes me directly to the 6 digit verification code, as soon I press send code it says “Sorry something went wrong. Please try again” On some attempts I would receive a code but it would not go through and the same error message pops up. I have the correct number and I don’t even have the option to select “need more help?” when trying to change my password. Anyone have a solution ? I’m sad I had really good memes saved 😢

@@honeydarling9251 hey bestie so I tried everything and what worked for me was not attempting to log in for about a week. Don’t try to log in, don’t mess with your account, don’t mess w it period. After about a week the verification code went through and it worked. Contacting Instagram doesn’t even work so I wouldn’t bother with that.
was just wondering how many times did you attempt to login? bc im not even sure how much i tried and im scared if its too much that they wont let me in 😭
@@epikgrnd I would try to log in multiple times a day and it kept telling me “sorry something went wrong” even when I would receive a code. I got frustrated so I just stopped attempting to log in and not mess with my account for about a week. After a week try to log in and it should go through.

My email right now using is different so I cant get the code cause the other email is not with me right now what to do to change the email and get the code to it.and I know the password but the email is different
One solution I've found is to use a different web browser. If I try to get in using Firefox it wants the 6-digit code, which I never receive. But if I go in thru Safari it lets me in no problem, no code. So I just can't use Firefox with Instagram.

So I deactivated my account for a little while to take a break from the app and I btw have 2 factor authentication turned on. A few days later I want to get back in, and I only have the options of receiving a security code or using one of my 2FA codes neither are working anyone have any solutions?
