Prepping for First Start Part 2 - Foxbody Restomod Part 97

- In this video I installed the factory Coyote mini starter motor and wired it up. The order of operations is a bit screwed up on this coyote swap but I'm confident we can get to where we need to be. The oil leak persists and is still a problem though.
This series is documentation of the restoration and modification of my 1989 Ford Mustang GT fox body. I've had it since high school and we're doing a coyote swap.

That was a nice whistle you made, LOL. I'm glad the throttle body tape didn't break loose. Great progress again!
Right? That scared the heck out of me, lol. I'm just really glad the starter motor wasn't bad, it'd be such a pain to replace.
I'll definitely be redoing some things, too, on my project. Thanks for putting the wire and crimper info in the description. I was actually going to ask about it...I need that stuff myself.
Yep that's hot roddin for ya! No problem, they are one of the most handy set of tools I've scooped up so far. We managed to get the engine running over the weekend but for wiring up the PCM and for the temporary wiring we did they were super useful.
Exciting stuff!
Thanks bro!
Thanks for the update. It’s important to get the small victories in order to keep motivated. Keep grinding away. 👍
Thanks buddy, 100% agree! It's definitely been a marathon
Great video and glad it didn’t start all the way but you are on the right path.
Thank you BSG! Spoiler alert, just filmed first fire yesterday but I'm a few weeks behind releasing videos. She sounds amazing!
Congratulations…. Awesome!!! Keep up the progress!!
Thanks buddy! What exhaust setup are you doing for your swap?
I have the MM K-member matched with ARH headers…..I sure hope they fit after what I spent
You know what we're still waiting on? The "how did you get the name Sleazy" episode.
Haha, well small spoiler alert, I filmed the first fire yesterday (engine sounds fantastic!) so maybe I'll do another AMA soon.
Duuuude that is awesome! All the hard work was well worth it! Going over things I’ve already done or having to uninstall and reinstall things seems to the Foxbody way for me! 🤣
Thank you brother! Yep, nothing to it but to do it, again and again until it's done right. 😂 Filmed first fire over the weekend, a few weeks until the video is out though, engine sounds incredible!
@@SleazysGarage I bet it does sound incredible! 💯👊🏾
You’re right Permatex on that plug would probably take care of the leak! I completely relate to all the frustration putting on that flywheel and block plate, reminds me of how much I actually curse and shout slurs at my car when I work on it 😂😂! Also it’s pretty gangster how you just diy wired the starter there and then 😎🤘.
Thank you brother! Yeah those crimped lugs with a little heat shrink end up looking pretty great. Not all days in the garage are smooth sailing but calm seas don't make experienced sailors. Luckily the next few episodes go a bit smoother!
