A major theme in Fate's version of Gilgamesh is his isolation, created as a result of ruling his people so cruelly. Do you think there's any merit to his philosophy?
nay, even in mythology he is but a smug asshole who has to see his best friend/possible lover die before him to change his antics. Although it is said that he ultimately redeems himself and becomes a wise and just ruler, accepting death and rejoining with Enkidu in the afterlife. I like it more where he is but a god-tier bully with no profound motivation for his malice, who has to learn humility the hard way.

after Babylonia i gained a liking for Gilgamesh, or at least the caster version of him. the relationship between both him and Enkidu is probably my favorite one out of the Nasuverse. I hope the anime adaption of the Babylonia Singularity does this relationship justice.

one feature missing in Fate's Gilgamesh is his most special power: the divine abs. I am not joking, just by showing his muscles, anyone not of divine bloodline was compelled to bow before him. I still want an intetpretation of Gil where he is a giant burly middle-eastern man with a divine beard.

he should have more! He is way too skinny and delicate to be the heavy weight lifter he is in mythology, excluding his magical super strenght, his Fate counterpart would seriously risk snapping in half if the real Gilgamesh sneezed too hard.
Fate's Gil tends to go topless or naked to show off his supposedly perfect body, so the legend is not too far off.

Gilgamesh is obsessed with Artoria because she's basically that one toy he can't have and that excites him. If he did obtain her he would lose interest immediately.
What Gilgamesh has with Enkidu is genuine. He's his best friend and the only person Gilgamesh see's as an equal, hence Enkidu's death devastating him.

@@jkosch well, in the Fate Lord, Enkidu and Gilgamesh seem to just have this really beautiful friendship, yet in the Epic of Gilgamesh it's pretty clear it isn't that way. It's actually stated that Gilgamesh loved Enkidu as a wife, so at the end, it really depends on what you want to believe

At the time (and for great part of history) women were seen as inferior to man, thats why for that time the king seeing a woman (enkidu can effectively shapeshift and his shape was from a woman) as his equal would be unacceptable, that's why it has this confusion.
Gil probably had romantic feelings towards his friend and enkidu could or could not have reciprocated (I think he/she actually did) but people couldn't be so open about it.

@@Sharkakaka well, in the game it's not confirmed or denied anything about their relationship, only about them being the best of friends and how Enkidu's death affected profoundly Gilgamesh as a character. But in the Epic of Gilgamesh Enkidu was a half beast/half man and it was openly known that they where more than friends. Gilgamesh had visions of sleeping with Enkidu and he stopped sleeping with everyone's wives when Enkidu came to Uruk. So again, it really depends of what anyone wants to think.

Every king has their own way to rule.. but how Gil used his authority really made an impact to the history... the conversation of Gil, iskandar and arthuria was epic. Great job writers...

Probably my favourite lore video of this channel. That part where Enkidu died made my eyes wet man. Had to wipe off my manly tears even though i knew it was coming.
Btw, im sure Gil did not get snipped by Tiamat just because she chose to. He blocked it to protect Mash n friend but more importantly he was trying to find a way to die since suicide was outta question. My man killed 2 birds with one stone.

Enkidu unlike Artoria was a genuine friend to Gilgamesh, and they are different in several ways, so realistically, Artoria would be forgotten by Gilgamesh, not completely, but very much forgotten.

There’s an excerpt (a part of the official drama CD: th-cam.com/video/aUaEoIzZI4o/w-d-xo.html ) from the original Fate/Zero novel where Gilgamesh had a flashback of Enkidu’s death after he watched Saber releasing the Excalibur, after which he said, “You fool who stretch your hand towards realms not of men… There is only one person in heaven or earth who’s worthy of appreciating your destruction, and that is none other than I, Gilgamesh.
Oh, you glorious and illusionary being, sink into my embrace! That is my decision” while holding the Chains of Heaven (“Enkidu,” his favorite Noble Phantasm) in his hands.
In other words, Gilgamesh saw Enkidu through Artoria who also devoted herself to her ideals.
Apparently, Saber reminds everyone of their ex.
Regarding Enkidu’s gender, you can see that in FZ he was originally designed as male as in accordance to the original Epic, only to be retracted in Fate/strange fake, where he officially was sexless. However, Enkidu uses the neutral but boyish pronoun “僕 boku (it is usually used by men)” in Japanese ("私 watashi" would be the truly neutral pronoun), and in all texts he was referred to by others as a “he (彼 kare, which can be neutral but is used towards animals in that case, but Enkidu is clay anyway so IDK),” including Gilgamesh. Enkidu also acts rather with an inclination towards the masculine side. And he is, if not always, presented in merchandise and events as wearing neutral or traditionally masculine attire.
Enkidu is "genderless". Enkidu is essentially like the player. Capable of altering their gender at will so you can consider them both

It's also why "Kid Gil" even exists as a Servant. In Fate/hollow ataraxia, which is something of a sequel to Fate/stay night (sorta, not really), Rin pulled some experiment which 'merged possibilities', or something, leading to nearly every Servant/character surviving the Fifth war. Gilgamesh was still staying at the Church, but said Church now had a new overseer, Caren, who was much more restrictive with Gil. In an effort to get some reprieve, as well as avoid interacting with the other Servants/former Masters, he takes on his child form, and even fights a few battles with it. Kid Gil also appears in Prisma Illya, but that's a different thing, entirely.

also Genetics don't work that way, there can't be a 1/3 human and 2/3 god person, it depends on if the traits are dominant or recessive, so technically if you are talking about the phenotypes , there can be a 2/3 god 1/3 human person

Enkidu's bio in FGO says "they", I havent played Babylonia yet so idk if they call themself "he". Enkidu from the actual Epic of Gilgamesh is "he" though, but that doesn't necessarily carry over to the Fate version (just look at Artoria, Nero, Drake, etc)

I assume you know of Fate/Strange Fake? I eagerly anticipate the day we will likely receive a crossover event in FGO, though I realize that will have to wait until Narita FINALLY finishes the book.
I believe negotiations would be critical to achieve victory during the Snowfield Holy Grail War, along with information gathering, stealth, and calculated gambles.
Step One: Rayshift in with Mash, Geronimo, Robin, Medea, Hundred-Faced Hassan and Kiritsugu. Mash because Kouhai is always good to have beside us., and she is very good at providing protection in a crisis. Geronimo is brought for his knowledge of the US and to aid in negotiations with the local tribe. Robin for his pragmatic wisdom, his knowledge of traps and espionage, and to abuse his No Face May King to keep him and ourselves invisible. Medea is an extremely skilled magus, whose scrying ability, item construction and territory creation skills work in perfect harmony with Hundred Face. Their Zabaniya is absolutely perfect for spying and infiltration, and with Caster’s magecraft supporting them, they could provide a truly staggering information network, allowing Chaldea to stay one step ahead of most of the opposition. Finally, Kiritsugu is The Magus Killer, and is exceptionally knowledgeable about the abilities and tendencies of magi. His experience with various magi would be invaluable, and his presence concealment and ruthless tactics would be undeniably effective. Plus, if this is a world much like FSN or Fate/Zero, he may very well have resources left behind by his counterpart from that world which could prove useful.
I’m trying to think of various Servants to fight each team with, but Ivan only come up with a few.
My first ideas on Servants to combat the teams already present are Child-Gilgamesh, Caster Gilgamesh, Young Lancer Li Shuwen, Berserker Lancelot, Abigail, the four Hassans, and Berserker Nightingale.
My tentative assumption is that Florence Nightingale’s obsessive pursuit of cleanliness, health, and healing others makes her the equal and anathema of Pale Rider, the embodiment of Pestilence and Disease. Her Nightingale Pledge, which brings healing to her allies and merely debuffs the enemy, might actually harm Pale Rider because of its nature as a living curse. Plus her healing ability in tandem with Irisviel, Medea Lily and others might just be enough to help Tsubaki.
Hassan of the Hundred Faces would already be present as part of the initial investigation team, and would hardly miss her contemporaries. I imagine the other Hassans (ESPECIALLY King Hassan) would be very intent on speaking with them, but whether to denounce or praise, I cannot say.
Lancer Li and Lancelot are to be dispatched against Orlando and his police officers to prove a point, with specific orders and a command seal for the latter. “Do not use your Noble Phantasms (meaning no spear or No Second Strike for Li, and no Arondight for Lancelot), and do not kill the enemy unless I authorize it.” I want to prove how contemptuously easy it is for Li to beat them without even using his primary weapons, and have Lancelot demonstrate how their Noble Phantasm strategy could be turned against them with horrifying ease. Their plan is possible in theory, but almost impossible in practice, and I’d prefer to educate them on that painfully, before another Servant schools them *fatally.*
I admit it’s total speculation on my part, but my idea is that since Abigail acts as the key and gate to other dimensions, she would naturally be able to perceive an entity like Watcher, that no other being but Sigma could see. My idea to send Kid Gil and Caster Gilgamesh hinges on Archer Gilgamesh and Enkidu’s sense of values. I would send in two Servants who are undeniably weaker in terms of pure power, but we would still fight anyway with ingenuity, foreknowledge and pure, thick-headed determination. My hope is that the two of them would be satisfied with our demonstration enough to agree to an alliance. Plus sending Kid Gil to fight Enkidu leaves Gilgamesh unable to accuse us of sending a mongrel to fight his friend, because how could he complain if He’s the one fighting?

Gilgamesh was first introduced in the original Fate/Stay Night visual novel. He makes appearances in Fate/Zero and the animated versions of Stay Night. Enkidu was first introduced in Fate/Grand Order, specifically the Babylonia singularity you can watch in anime form.

From what I can tell, the video mentioned is basically just a re-translation of your video into Indonesian, and it seems that the background music that they had used is similar, if not the same as the one from your video (placed in around the same timestamps).
Proof:
at around 1:40 (of that video), the narrator is reciting the same exact line as you (just in a different language) in 1:33 of your video.
at 14:36 (of that video), the narrator again, is saying the same exact thing as you in 12:57 (of your video)
(14:36 - narrator of that video says "Dalam suatu masa", which means "In some era", while you said "In the modern era" in 12:57, and these two phrases are basically just the same thing.
I'm Indonesian myself, so I'm able to understand what they're saying in that video, if that helps.
I don't know much about TH-cam copyright rules, but I hope that video gets taken down. Really hate seeing them exploiting your hard work.

Wise King Gilgamesh did not have access to Ea so he couldn't use it. That's why he summoned himself as Archer when he died.

Trust me, the story is still good. Quite a few people had this much or more spoiled for them (me included) by playing the Japanese version before the English version became available. We could really understand the story, but we still had a general idea based on the fights/quest. And I can guarantee the story was still amazing. Like seriously, it's the way it all happened that made it amazing. Not to mention he cut out details so that it only included Enkidu and Gilgamesh, there's more than just this much going on in Babylonia (though admittedly, this was the hypest stuff, but there's still more).
