Not putting Ridder under center for a single snap was mind boggling. It made their offense exceedingly predictable. This was a tank - plain and simple.

Hondo did say in the video that shotgun was what Ridder was most comfortable playing. I would guess that they feel that Ridder didn't get enough reps in practice to play under center, so Turner played Ridder under the Shotgun. I do agree shotgun makes no sense when you are starting in your own end zone.

I'm going to respectfully disagree Hondo: Scott Turner did not call a very good game. Running out of shotgun the whole game doesn't work with the Raiders as currently constructed. Doing it with your back to your own goal line is inexcusable. Not being able to scheme plays to get the ball to the best TE in the NFL is coaching malpractice. The quarterback stinks. If that is what you intended to put on the field with that game plan, you might as well go with Carter Bradley. Ridder is no QB. I've seen high school QBs make better reads than he did. If Aidan can't play---save him for next season as they will need him. Put in Bradley. The offense was a total embarrasment against a pitiful Atlanta team. The game was there for the taking, but they screwed it away. AP: I'm with you, but you are the HC and you approved that offensive plan??? Better polish up your resume Dude.

A perfect game for the Raiders. The defense looked good(without Max). In a deep RB and DT draft class year. This game showed our need for a 2-gap monster DT’S and running backs.
Raiders have regressed so much since even just the KC game. I was hoping AP would get things turned around but this was a complete loss. Terrible play at all levels even the consistently good special teams. Sorry to say AP has to go...that was hard to watch. Only element that impressed me was the pass rush, even with all the injuries, they kept coming.
It's clear we need major upgrades at the following positions: QB (obviously), Running Back, Wide Receiver, Offensive Guard (left and right), Depth at LB, Depth at CB and a potential new starting CB opposite Jakorian Bennet. This is not a "retool" as Hondo the "Shill" keeps suggesting. This is total and utter rebuild. AP is gone, Telesco might be one and done too, despite a nice draft class. If we bring in a former HC, like a Vrabel, Telesco is gone. If Telesco stays, then we probably go after Liam Cohen from the Bucs. The truth is this team needs a seasoned HC, with a real OC, with a REAL offensive scheme.
Tanking has been around "afaik" since the Cowboys 1988, 1989,1990. Michael Irving , Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith. And then 3 super Bowls in 4 years. That was documented so deeply i remember it to this day. It's ok. Really.

We aren't a QB away from competing. I have major doubts about taking a QB and putting the whole franchise on him. If.we could get the two best players in this draft, then maybe we would be a QB away.

You have ball with poor field position inside your own 10 yard line. Signaling fair catch in this situation…GUARANTEEING you have poor field position, if not a turnover!! Elementary fundamental that should be hammered into returner’s heads at a professional level!
