Golden days for phones
Even the mi 4 was launched the fllowing year with wooden back. That too with replaceable back. I used it and it was awesome.
A 60k phone and don't have LTPO pannel. They should include it as it will help to reduce battery consumption

Edge 30 ultra user here. After they rebranded the Ready for to Smart connect some of the features like file sharing doesn't work reliably.
And they claimed to provide us with bi-monthly security patches but that's not happening.
Finally got the a14 update and some of the features that come with it are broken(doesn't work at all) and they don't have an ETA for the fix (from the forums).
Apart from this the device has been pretty good with solid performance and battery life.
Exactly my thoughts. A fellow Edge 30 ultra user here too. This phone has so much potential with its camera with its humongous sensor but moto ruined it with lack of optimization.

I got to give Motorola credit. Even the Moto stylus 2024 has a cool vegan leather back. That's no big deal in much of the world but it's actually available in the North American market and we never get cool designs like that with the wood or the vegan leather.
The wooden fish reminds me of moto x series where you can customise the back according to your taste.

I still think last year's model the Motorola edge plus 2023 (40 pro) was a better design with larger batter and the quad curved display is beautiful, if they would have used that design with the new cameras and updated RAM and storage with SD 8 gen 3 would have been it for me😊

Good video (if sponsored)! I think the SOC is okay, not excellent, the cameras sound good. Battery life still needs to be confirmed, but looks good. RAM and memory are generous, which makes it future-proof. The main elephant in Lenovo's Chinese ceramics shop is Motorola's sketchy record where it comes to updates. 3 Android versions and 4 years of Security Updates isn't bad, but Google and Samsung offer better (longer, timely) support. Interesting phone, however.

They should have adopt Sony sensor for main camera. Edge 50 fusion doing great with Sony lytia 700.
Buy 2 fusion & still save some money

It's the total package, but the only downside is the cpu which isn't the top of the line 8 gen 3, but at least I think it's a bit better than 8 gen 2 in terms of performance

Recently bought the Moto Edge 50 fusion the only problem which I faced with Moto Phones is that they don't have a default gallery app of their own like Samsung or OnePlus. They use Google Photos so shifting from one device to Moto is a bit problematic and to arranging and transferring the pictures is very tiresome. Using Google Photos means the media storage is capped to only 15GB now which is nothing. A default gallery app by Moto would be wondeful. If leaving the this gallery part out I really love the Moto series. My family already using 3 Moto devices, Yes the updates arrive a bit late but that don't affect the daily usage.
Are there any heating or battery drain issues in 50 fusion
@@unknownunknown-eq4pm there is no such heating issues. I have observed that during charging the phone tends to warm up a bit but it gradually cools down once it crosses 90%. Yes there is a bit of idle drain on Wi-Fi and interestingly the idle drain on 5G is very minimal though.
To be honest not recommended for Gaming.

damn no 4k60 on the ff cam?and they removed the 4k30 cinematic video as well on the ff cam. we'll, better get the Moto edge 40 pro then. cheaper, and it has both the feature. and they think they're slick by giving snapdragon 8sgen3 not snapdragon 8gen 3 lol.

It would have been a HOT CAKE had it been priced 50k And Early birded to Lower 40s.
But the thing is there will be less number of battery cycles compared to 5000mAh 😢
A battery will have the same amount of cycles, regardless if it has 2000mah or 25,000,000,000 mah
You get around 1500 cycles before dropping below 80% capacity.

Either but 14 Civi if you're tight on budget or OnePlus 12/iqoo 12. No LTPO on a 60k device should be a crime.
Phone is very good indeed.
But price is way higher, it must be around 40K rupees. This phone is in competition with civi14 and S22, S23. So 40K is right price.

Purchased moto edge 30 ultra..for my wife.. videos are pathetic, the software optimisation is very poor.. that's is the biggest issue in Moto phones .. even for still without zooming is good if we zoom in it's a cartoon look cant accept for a 200mp camera, that is in well lit conditions.. except selfies the camera performance is like a 20k phone.. apart from camera everything is bank for the buck..
50k should've been the normal price.
I would rather save my money and get edge 50 pro.

The processor is the only hesitation for me. Everything else is flagship quality. I don't do intense gaming sessions so in practice i won't notice, but still... Why?
Good smartphone, but difficult to recommend for the price.
For those who just want a powerful smartphone with the same chip, the Poco F6 exists for much less, for those who want ultra high-end with very good software, very good software tracking and a good camera, the S23 Plus (8 Gen 2 > 8s Gen 3) is today often at the same price range, not to mention iQoo 12, and in western countries, S23 Ultra, Oneplus 12, Vivo X100 Pro, Xiaomi 14...
But above all, I personally have a problem with Android smartphones which come out 3-4 months before the new version of Android (Galaxy Fold for example) and announce 3-4 or 4-5 or even 7 years of Android updates, in reality, it's minus 1 year.
Ps: for me, Motorola has the best battery 🔋 optimization of the entire smartphone industry ahead of even the iPhone and Huawei, but a 5000mAh battery 🔋 would not have been too much 🤷🏽♂️, also, the Motorola overlay is really great, but Motorola's software monitoring is too below average .

Yeah it's interesting, it's more competitive in the North American market cuz we don't have a lot of those options that you guys have. In the North American market, you basically have Samsung Apple, Google and OnePlus. And Motorola. Technically Asus. But barely. And even among everything I listed, 90% of the market share goes to two companies.

Overpriced device. There are multiple & better options available in both flagship killer and flagship category. In flagship killers, Iqoo 12 is available for 53k and with offers at 47k(no cost emi discounts). It has SD8G3, much better cameras, way better battery life and timely updates. The only thing Moto has is clean UI in comparison. Not buying this shit when a Xiaomi 14 Civi is available with same processor and better AI features & Cameras at 39,999. Even Samsung S23 is way better choice as it frequently drops to 44999. Spoiler alert, the Realme GT 6 is launching soon and so is Realme 13 Pro Plus. In flagship category around same price range instead of paying 55k(after launch offer) for Moto, get the OnePlus 12, Vivo X100 or iPhone 15/14 Plus, Samsung S24 for slightly more price which have better resale & brand value. You can also get Pixel 8/8a or Pixel 7 Pro for clean experience in similar price on offers

Moto arguably has a class leading desktop mode now. Dex Is arguable, but it actually has native 4K and a separate gaming mode and a first party dock with active cooling. So when you say other phones are better at everything, if you care about using your phone in a desktop functionality via USBC or something, Motorola is really investing in that.
I understand it's a niche use case but, it matters to me. I don't know if I would choose Motorola, but if I did a big part of it would it be the design and the desktop mode. But I agree the hard part is updates and the cameras.
