When you finish the move tier lists, I think a mechanics tier list would be super cool- (ex. special cancel, bullet arts, ko punch, arsene, etc)

Bacon can also combo into Judge if you don't finish the volley. The last projectile has more ending lag on it, so the second you get a hit, you can stop and scoot.
The reason they should absolutely never get rid of falcon punch is that it's a hype and satisfying move to land when playing with casuals! I get that in a competitive environment it's useless, but the game isn't only for you, and that's the strength of Ultimate.
Plus, Falcon Punch is one of the best moves in Smash for dealing psychological damage.
On top of that, it’s arguably the single most iconic move in Smash history - only really competing with Shine and Rest - and, even beyond being associated with the character just by name, Falcon is the most natural home for the move compared to every other character in the game. Bad moves are allowed to be bad.

Falcon Punch should replace Captain Falcon's forward smash attack, while having the ability to reverse direction and cancel the move by jumping or shielding.

It's because aside from edgeguarding, it's inferior to your tilts and aerials. The thing is, you can't cancel Flame Nova, so if you press Neutral B, you are stuck in the move. So if your opponent happens to jump or dash back and has a disjointed move, you just get hit. This wouldn't happen as opposed to if you were using any other Pyra normal in neutral. As for recoveries, the problem is that Flame Nova has no hitbox below, so any recovery with an active hitbox beats it out from below. It's really cheap against non-hitbox recoveries, but those with hitboxes, it's just not as good.
Flame Nova is just a good mixup and it's definitely a knowledge check, because you shouldn't challenge the move, but if you just let it happen by running away, it's basically harmless. I'm also a Pythra main BTW.
I just made a comment about it, and I'll summarize it here bc why not: My theory is that Pyra has other moves to substitute for Flame Nova, while a lot of other characters don't. Flame Nova is good in neutral, has a big hitbox, kills, and is good in edge-guarding. You know what other move does that? Down Air, and it's bigger, and you don't have to go off stage for edge-guards. She can also substitute other big, safe aerials in neutral as well.
Better options
I think the reason Pyras don't use the Neutral B more is because they have decent substitutes for it that are easier to use. A lot of the situations you would use it in, I generally see them go for an aerial, normally D-Air. If this move was on any other character, it would see a lot more use, but Pyra has big-ass hitboxes that hit easier than her Neutral B, so she doesn't really need it.
Monado.Arts is top tier but people tend to overlook the drawbacks of using it. You can die earlier with Smash, and you can take extra damage with Buster. Meanwhile, Block has essentially no drawback.
Sheik should be in godlike, because other characters would be able to do their better back airs off of it. Like imagine Roy/Cloud/Corrin/Wario/Donkey Kong and so many other characters landing with needles into a RAR Back air. Also for characters this wouldn’t quite work for (The links, Jigglypuff, Dr. Mario etc) they still have good options off of it ie: (Links forward air, Rest or Down B for Doc)
Mythras neutral b is now weight dependent. they changed it on the very next update after they added mythra

This might be because there aren't a lot of Zelda's in top play for Ultimate, but something Esam missed for Nayru's Love is that it's actually kind of a bullshit edgeguarding tool vs a lot of characters. She has a noticable amount of invincibility during it and Nayru's itself has some strangely high priority. If she simply waits for most characters to approach the ledge she can pretty effortlessly push people away and for characters with terrible recoveries especially, this is a death sentence.
Speaking for myself, I've gotten some pretty unfair kills doing this on otherwise great characters like Min-Min, Joker, and Cloud. It often leads to stage spike positions as well, the whole move is just kind of irritating to deal with when trying to recover and I think that's something worth mentioning.

Oh and I forgot to mention, if you have Phantom set up before hand, offstage Nayru's often true combos into Phantom offstage because of the slight knock back. It doesn't come up all the time but it's worth noting.

Falcon punch should be sped up and made into his forward smash. He could then get something actually useful and related to f-zero as his neutral b

I believe ESAM had it as the best neutral B that isn’t gamebreaking.
I once dsmashed a samus doing charge shot as krool, and they released the chargeshot, I armored it, and they were able to shield before the downsmash hitbox came out. That shit is lagless

I agree with Esam here. Charge shot is doing everything any character needs: starts combos (not fully charged), good combo finisher, tech chases, egdeguards, can snipe off-stage, and icing on a cake, it's all in really fast projectile with not much lag which you can freely spam against characters without a reflector and win neutral. I think charge shot single handenly makes Samus top tier.

Bowser Jr.’s is not as bad as most people think. It is not a good move but it can cause trouble when used right. If you get launched in the upper corners it covers your landing so you can go low without getting punished as easily. It also is pretty good at edgegaurding against most characters.
The problem is that a lot of moves can also do that, better, as well as having way more differents usages.

I’m late but I have something to say about Roy.
Roy’s neutral B is incredibly fast, so it’s an amazing movement option. It also KOs any character at 0% anywhere on the stage, so it’s by far the best shield break punish in the game. That doesn’t make it broken, but the few uses it has, it’s either the best or one of the best at it.

Agree with the top 2, but I think Joker gun is still better than tjolt, charge shot, and grenade. It can't be reflected gives an invincible air dash, movement options on the ground including jumping into the air and down gun from the ground. It is the most versatile Neutral Special

Based fire the pyro with that Lazer comment. Also, gunner's do use it. M.M.Leo, one of the best gunners, uses it a lot cuz it's broken in so many MUs.
I don't know, I feel like the wolf neutral B is being a bit underrated here. But then again I had no idea that Charizard and Bowser moves function differently

so yes, macs nb is a great disadvantage tool, the main problem is that its on mac. theres a very specific way to beat mac that not a lotof people know about, and its called hit him off the stage sideways. mac is a fast faller, which is good for getting down to stage, but not from off stage. this move follows macs fall speed, and doesnt pause it laterally unless you fully charge it, and get this, it gives him nearly 2 seconds of endlag. charging it to max takes 2 seconds as wellm, and the 14.6 only comes out at max charge. he also doesnt get heavy armor during the punch for some reason. the move also has no ledge grab box and cant be used for recovery because mac is a rock, and plummets. also, this move tanks no get up attacks, and most single hit moves do more than 8%, unless its a multihit. its just a poorly designed move that has no place in macs kit. honestly nothing he has makes sense, so idk why i play him, but hey, im getting results.

Duck Hunts can has so much more tech that wasn't discussed that probably would make it rank higher. Anchor can, shield can and stored knockback are all so useful. But besides that it's best function wasn't even mentioned - the fact it controls space so well
I main cap falcon, so this is a just a list of every move I would rather have. Falcon punch is fun though

I think chroy neutral b is underrated. Its end lag is non-existent so b-reversing it gives you tons of non-commital momentum mix-ups. Also pretty good at covering spot-dodges

People love Lightning Buster because that's one of the best specials in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and it's incredibly spammable
I think shulk probably isn’t bottom 20 but he’s definitely balanced with neutral b in mind, no fast options for offense and his up b which is fast defensive option just resets no way to push it to advantage
He'd be like bottom 10 without Monado Arts.

I personally think Falco laser is better than mii gunner laser because of the stun it gives the opponent.
I find it funny how Min Min can just do jab if you tap B, the most normal of attacks every character has but done with special button.

Personal opinion- if u haven’t done this yet, do a “best possible moveset” challenge. All the ones I’ve found did a lot of goods for the moves (bruh no that isn’t the best of that move it is still kinda linear and sure it broken but still when r u using this offensively other than in out of shield bruh)

It's messed up that you didn't mention that Link's arrow can be picked up! The double arrow is good damage even uncharged, but more importantly it gives you access to a regular item to combo with or just carry for extended threat range. It may be harder to retrieve than say, Mega Man's saw, but I'd argue it's on par with Banana or Gyro in terms of how easy it is to pick it up after using the move. Certainly it's an easier source of an item than Robin's books.
Oh! And the fact that Link gets less use out of it than other characters might because he already has access to a better item already, and Boomerang.

I think you really underrated ryu's neutral b. They're very very spammable and the inputs aren't really that hard. But the main thing is the damage. Shaku does like 16% and input hadoken does 14%. They do crazy damage 3 or 4 fireballs and your at 50%. Broken.
I’m still trying to understand the falco laser placement. It has its uses off stage, but otherwise I don’t see how it’s anything more than annoying? It’s punishable on hit from like 1/3 of the stage away. Has crazy lag. And doesn’t really do anything other than annoy the opponent. It’s key to Falcos gameplay because he has to annoy the opponent to approach. But it seems so much worse than wolfs laser. Wolfs isn’t punishable on hit. Has an anti air hitbox. And does 10% damage in a single hit so it doenst stale. Falcos laser stales so fast. The key is to just ignore it and then punish it when you get hit by it and the opponent is too close. Will never understand why people think it’s good. Takes over 8 hits to get like 20%

I only disagree with marth/lucina and beyo..shield break is busted on most characters especially if they have multi hit moves. A mobile shield break that you can use in the and air b reverse... That's busted. And beyo neutral b on short characters is actually a ridiculous angle in neutral

Hard disagree with Peach's placement, Toad has let me down more times than any of Samus's multi hits have failed to connect, fun fact Charizard flare blitz ignores it for some reason, this is Peach specific and there's many more things like it that make it bad to throw out that counter (worst in the game by a long shot)
If u turn ur toad around the flare blitz gets counteres properly :)
